We had a wonderful time at this guest house. This was an amazing experience from the meeting at the airport to speedboat transfer and meeting us at the island.  Room was nicely prepared for us with flowers and refreshing drinks. Guesthouse is clean and conveniently located on the private beach. Every day  we had delicious freshly made meals at the restaurant overlooking the water. Staff is super nice and friendly. Everyone speaks good English. Want to note Rakib as he was especially attentive and helpful in any way he could. 
We had a wonderful early morning fishing trip. The staff arranged coffee and packed  sandwiches and water. The fish we caught was prepared for us the same day for lunch and dinner. The chef is great, makes incredibly presentable and tasty dishes with custom freshly made sauces and salads. 
Overall we had a wonderful time and would love to come back.

Excellent guesthouse on a wonderful island

Long review warning!!
Just back from my first stay at Tropical Village (and Maldives) with my daughter, and it won't be my last! She has been before in 2019 to Tropical Village. 
We are both fairly well-travelled and this was truly an amazing holiday which is ideal for those looking for a truly authentic experience of the Maldives at an affordable price. 
All the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, who go out of their way to make sure you have a good time. Big shout out to Ja Bu the manager. Nothing is too much trouble for him and he genuinely wants you to have a great time. The same goes for Bob and Zidan who made our holiday so special.
The rooms are large and very clean with a king size bed and open air bathroom with shower. There is air con in the room, a mini-fridge with drinks, a kettle with tea/coffee sachets, and a hairdryer. The rooms were easily comparable to some 4 star hotels I have stayed in in other places and were cleaned everyday. 
Our meals were very tasty and we had lots of the locally sourced fish. The chef was very accommodating to requests. We asked to try a traditional Maldivian curry so chef made this for us one night and used less spice in the one for me as I don't do really spicy!
Although alcohol isn't permitted on the island, there is a floating bar approx. 15 mins away by speedboat if you fancy a tipple. This was a lovely old French ship with a great selection of alcoholic drinks that can be legally served as it's not on dry land.
The island is very natural and unspoilt by tourism, there are no souvenir shops and the two little local stores have an amazing stock of products if you run short of anything. The bikini beach is just a few minutes walk (or swim!) away but there is also a beach right outside Tropical Village where you can swim, snorkel and sunbathe in shorts and t-shirt/rash vest.
There is some house reef around the island and we saw stingrays and other fish. The excursions were truly fantastic. As a weak swimmer I felt totally confident with Bob who was able to literally guide me through the reef to ensure I saw everything that I would otherwise probably have missed. Zidan is also an expert swimmer/free diver and both were very knowledgeable about all the marine life and islands. 
We also did a sailboat trip which was very relaxing, and a magical sand bank trip where we had a very close encounter with a turtle. My daughter also went night snorkelling. We didn't particularly want to do any diving whilst here but did ask about it. Although there isn't currently a diving school on the island, there is diving available either from a nearby island, or if there's a few people who want to dive, it might even be possible to arrange this to go out from Fehendhoo itself.
If you are booking to go here, then you need to contact Tropical Village directly through their Facebook page/messenger as it won't work through booking.com etc. currently. Booking is really easy, as is the transfer. Once you confirm your flight arrival time, you just message to let them know and they will arrange the pick-up transfer from Male (approx 2 hours or less on the local speedboat). There are other options for transfer such as sea plane and private transfer but these are obviously much more expensive. We chose the option of the local speedboat that usually runs once a day apart from a Friday and Wednesday I think (you can double check that if going). We were met at arrivals and told the time the speedboat was leaving Male and then met again at the time to be taken to the boat for transfer. We also used the local speedboat transfer on our return to Male. We paid for accommodation, transfers, trips etc at the end of our holiday. This needs to be done using cash only as there's no card machine so you'd need to make sure you take enough as there's no ATM nearer than Male. 
Finally, as someone who rarely goes back to the same place twice, I am already looking at flights to go back to Tropical Village for my next holiday! The staff are so lovely, it's very authentic,  peaceful, and the pace of life is so relaxing but with the option to have all the adventures if you choose too.

Amazing holiday at Tropical Village Fehendhoo

The hotel is really worth recommending. Guests may feel really welcomed there. Amazing restaurant with sea view, tasty and varied food with local flavours, and even rays' feeding. Fantastic staff - always smiling, kind and helpful. The manager is very flexible and pro-client oriented. The beaches are very well equipped, the rooms clean and comfortable, the whole surrounding beautiful and clean. Fehendhoo is a beautiful island for a quiet, relaxing holiday.

We really liked our stay in Tropical Village, everything was just perfect. Thanks the whole team of Tropical Village - nice room, really good food (even with gluten free intolerance), very kind and helpful people, beautiful beach for Tropical Village guests, we would love to come back. Beautiful holiday

The food at the hotel is fresh and quite tasty. The staff is kind and helpful. One Bikini Beach is 5 minutes walk from Hotel, the others were located a bit further but you can ask someone from the staff to take you there by buggy for free. The beds were comfortable, rooms nice and clean. Only cons were no Wi-Fi in rooms and a bit salty hot water under the shower. The hotel is for sure worth its price. I recommend you to stay here if you visit Fehendhoo.

Stay worth its price

Such a great time we spent during our 12-nights stay in Tropical Village. We had nice decorated very comfortable room with bathroom with tree and open roof (looks like very good 4 stars hotel). Well cooked dishes with lots of fish, including tuna and traditional friday barbecue. You can order lots of fresh juices and coconut itself as well. The beach is very clean with lots of sun beds and very clean. The other bikini beach (end of the island) is most beautiful picture you can imagine with reef for snorkeling nearby - you can ask staff to bring you there by electro car or take a 15-20 minutes walk through the jungle. There's also great place for snorkeling near jetty. Also we tried different excursions - morning and evening fishing was great and adventurous, trip to Fullahdoo beaches was super exciting. All in all we had great memorable stay and definitely will come back at winter. Especially want to say huge thanks to Jabu, Zihdan, Shary and Muneer for such great hospitality and care!!! Best place and staff ever

What a beautiful country Maldives is! We are just back from a 5 day trip to this picturesque land (or sea ?) and cant stop thinking about it. Lovely people, great food and no words to describe the beauty of the place. 
After a lot of research, we zeroed in on the Tropical Village in Fehendhoo, and what a wise decision that was. A lovely cozy resort on a  beautiful island, with great sea life just meters away. The rooms are kept impeccably clean and small gestures like welcoming guests with flower garlands and decorating the beds with flowers  just add to the charm of the place. The whole team (forever smiling) was there to welcome us at the jetty and also to drop us off! We were out up in the family villa and would recommend this for family with kids. 

The chef deserves a special mention here. Food was excellent at all meal times (in terms of flavour, quantity and presentation) and the desserts especially were very well made. 

We did some great excursions and highly recommend all of them - the sandbank trip, the dolphin trip, sunset fishing, snorkeling (deep sea),  plankton trip and the beach visit to Fulhadhoo. We saw literally 100s (or 1000s?) of dolphins and it was one of the highlights of the trip. The trip to see the glowing plankton was an experience in itself - a drive through a dark forest with the biggest crabs i have ever  seen !

Would highly recommend a trip to Fulhadhoo too. The reef is very close to the island, the corals are all alive and what amazing fish one can see!

We have traveled quite a bit, but I've never felt more sad while leaving a place. Tropical Island won my heart totally and i'd love to go back again! Our children (12 and 8) are claiming to have had the best vacation of their lives :) ! A  big thank you to the entire team.

Tropical Village is the perfect choice for those who want a very comfortable stay. The rooms are large, beautifully furnished, with enormous beds and excellent mattresses. The outdoor shower baths are superb, perfecting the wonderful experience. The hotel has its own restaurant and bar, located on the ocean shore. The bikini beach is superb, the hotel has its own sun loungers that can be used for free by guests.

Oh what an experience it was from the beginning to the end. I know one might be thinking that how can it be possible on a wheelchair ....well the Tropical village owners, staff, marketing person everybody was so kind and helpful that they made it possible.... they planned the whole trip for me with such comfort and made it a lifetime memory....Mr Mufeed the marketing director met me personally to plan and explain me the whole thing, assured that I will be taken care of dont have to worry at all and it was so..... one might think it is expensive because you pay 175 $/night and then 45 $ each way on the speed boat to Goidhoo Island and then finally to Fehendhoo Island through the beautiful blue waters but every penny is worth it ....since I had very short time in hand as I sat on the boat they took me All Around The Island which was an amazing amazing experience, I also saw the beautiful sandbanks of the island but unfortunately I was not able to be on it. I definitely will plan again to do what I missed this time like they also have diving which one does in the supervision of experienced famous divers from Germany and Japan. they took me on a Buggy to show me the whole Island till the tip of the island, so here is what I mean to say that even though you are on a wheelchair and cannot move an inch and you are on a Sandy Island nothing to worry coz like for me they made it possible to enjoy on a buggy staff helped me go into my room by picking up my wheelchair .....they have understood the needs of wheelchair people and have assured that they will make a wooden path to access the room..... I was given an option of a room which had a kind of an open bathroom and I went all for it because it was different so when I was in the room it was the cool AC and suddenly I would go into the warm washroom, all I can say is it was a different feeling..... you get lovely breakfast in the morning with the choice of some fresh fruits and fresh papaya juice also.... and yes they also have a doctor that they will willingly take you even if it is in middle of the night ....I needed to check my blood pressure for some reason and I went to this doctor in the small island of probably 100 people and 15 houses and I was amazed by the warmth... actually I have travelled many countries but I would like to say that the people in Maldives are the warmest, kind and most loving people... thank you Mr Mufeed for that extra effort that you took for my comfort

Hotel arranged 20 minute domestic flight from Male to Daravandhoo then 45 minute speedboat trip to Fehendhoo..Allocated room 16 on arrival which was fine with very good aircon and ceiling fan ..couple of bottles of water free everyday , we went half board food ok to gòod on a help yourself buffet basis .Staff helpful ..small bikini beach clean and tidy ..there is another beach on opposite side of island 10 minute walk where locals go so you have to be covered up but  very nice beach where water only 3 foot deep going out 200 yards out..this was my first time to the Maldives and this place was ideal for peaceful break on a budget. Small shop around the corner sold basics at reasonable prices ..Mosquitos very bad due to jungle on these islands so bring good quality spray and lightweight long sleeve shirt and trousers will help in the evening. Locals very friendly..we went first week in December it was very hot in the late 80s ..Speedboat back to Male took about 1 hour 40 minutes all went well..good luck
