Nice place to stay while visiting the area. Pricing is great and the extra services they offer make staying there a no-brainer.
Super-friendly family-run lodging. The room was clean and water was hot.
They serve breakfast (included) as well as lunch and dinner for $120 pesos ($6 dollars).
The breakfast is either ham, chorizo or machaca (a regional preparation you could say is shredded beef jerky) scrambled into eggs and served with beans and corn tortillas.  I had both the machaca and chorizowheilI was here and both were delicious. because I know what the 'ham' is in this area... I would recommend you not order that. :)
The dinner was delicious. There is no menu, it's just what was cooked that day.... a meat dish of some sort with rice and beans. Simple but tasty.
The family is the best part... they will, for a very small fee, pretty much anywhere you wantc to go locally.
We went to the adventure park at Copper Canyon and did the ziplines and sky tram. When finished we called to be picked up and they were there in 10 minutes.
We took their tour to see some of the local vista points and visit a Raramuri shaman that lives in a cave overlooking the canyon. She was an amazing woman, humble and warm. I found myself envying the simplicity and quality of life she has, albeit perhaps not the most comfortable compared to most.
We also did the Raramuri Experience one day and went into one of their communities and learned to grind and make fresh ground corn tortillas which we ate with a particular variety of bean that they grow and eat in the region and dranks some delicious anti-viral tea that they make with herbs, barks, berries, etc that they forage for in the woods.
After we were very full... the Raramuri woman showed up how to make bracelets from long pine needles.
That was a highlight of my trip along with the horseback riding up the mountain in Creel. (See: Creel Paseos A Caballo Vaquero here on Trip Advisor for this tour)
The Raramuri Experience can be booked by calling them or having the people who run the motel call for you. We called the day before to visit the next morning. The guy at the motel will drive you there and either stay, as he did with us... or come back and pick you up.  Highly recommend!!!

Comfortable and Friendly

We stayed here instead of Hotel Mirador and the other expensive options in Divisadero. The family picked us up from the train station and drove us to Areponapuchi. It's a little town with a handful of hotels and a small supermarket across the street. They were hospitable and offer free breakfast, and dinner (for a fee). They also will arrange transportation and any activities you would like (for a fee as well). The rooms were spotlessly clean, large, and in a very safe area. The family that runs it are kind and welcoming. Each room is sparse on amenities, but they are clean and have the basics.

Better than Divisadero properties

We stayed 2 nights. We are a family and we live in Mexico.
We enjoyed the place to visit la barranca del cobre.
Rooms are big and clean. The family is very welcoming. We made 2 tours with them. They were very nice and give us advice. We do recommend this place !

Very good stay to enjoy la barranca del cobre

They picked me up from the train stop at Posada Barrancas, huge, spotlessly clean room, with private bathroom & hot showers. The room even had a small gas fire to keep of the evening chill. Great breakfast included, dinner was available, also great, just what was being served. They organised a horse ride for me to see the canyon & then provided transport to & from the Adventure Park, with a few more look points on the way back to the hotel, including the view you get when the train stops at Divisaderio, not the best place to appreciate the natural beauty. Highly recommended.

Fantastic place to stay for the Copper Canyon

An affordable alternative to visit Divisadero while being slightly 5 minutes away (next town).
The place is simple and clean. It can be cold during winter. 
The owners are open help, provide dinner or breakfast service and also transportation to the Chepe Express station. Very little else to do here.
