I always research hotels before booking.  Being an experienced traveler, I understand the importance of having a relaxing hotel as your sanctuary to rest up for your next adventure.  Oz Hotel in Suyalita is superb.  Excellent location.  It is on Revolution avenue just a minutes walk from the center of town.  It's steps away from highly rated restaurants like Alquimista (best breakfast) and Aaleyah's (best shrimp tacos).  It's about a 15 minute walk to Playa De Los Muertos.  Well worth the trek.  It even has an urgent care style facility across the street to get your COVID test done before returning back to the states.

Customer service alone!! Omar, Miguel and Alex were so wonderful to have around, anything we needed, they were there for us!! We loved staying here and we felt so welcomed. I can’t say enough how much we loved the customer service and stay. It’s also so very close to everything in Sayulita, no need for cabs, or Uber, you can walk everywhere from this exquisite location.

Customer service and rooms are superb

Stayed in a double hotel room. All was up to standard and service was excellent. We had to ask for additional towels as only two were provided and we were a family of 4, and they were brought to us immediately. Also, took a while for the hot water to kick in (a minute or two) but eventually it came. Breakfast was great. Made to order eggs and pancakes. I would definitely stay again.

Great location

Had a wonderful during our stay in Sayulita. 

Pros: Location-within steps to all the main restaurants and shops. Rooms-spacious rooms with great rainfall showers. Staff-very friendly and ready to help with anything needed. Rooftop pool was great spot to get away and relax. 

Cons: breakfast served 9-11 daily. We were up well before this. Perhaps earlier hours would help. 

All in all, would definitely stay here again.

Great new restaurant within Hotel Oz, we were lucky enough to visit at its opening - make sure to ask Jesus & Alejandro for one of their incredible Margaritas !! 

The menu is traditional Mexican dishes and all we had were great. 

Stylish, Personable and Delicious 

Big nice rooms with comfortable beds. Large bathroom with rain shower, there was no hot water, just luke warm.

Hotel grounds are nice with a roof top small pool

They offer free decent wifi

Breakfast was included in the fare and it was OK, nothing to brag about, the main course lacks of flavour but it was fine to start the day with no additional charge

Location is perfect, right in downtown, just a 4-5min walk to the main plaza

Beautiful hotel

Wonderful staff and location in Sayulita!  Breakfast included and wonderful rooftop pool and decks.  Rooms were very much as described, with comfortable beds and lighting. Like a lot of lodging in Sayulita, can be a very noisy place in early morning due to traffic and roosters.

Great lodging and affordable in Sayulita

stayed here for a week recently and it was great. The room was beautiful and they even set up a dog bed and dog water bowl since I was bringing my canine friend. The bed was firm but comfortable, shower always had hot water and the inclusive breakfast was a good touch.

wonderful experience

It's not a Marriott or a Hilton, and it doesn't have all the amenities of one, but it has a pool (it's very cold) and it does offer a home cooked breakfast (typical Mexican fashion) and the bed is less than a temperpedic, but the AC works and the shower is hot and HUGE and the curtains are black out...there are roosters right across the street at the tortilleria calamar (that makes tortillas for the entire town!) that will crow at the ass crack of dawn and wake you up...but it's perfectly located just 200 feet from the city center and not a 10 min walk to the beach.  The restaurant next door has a buffet breakfast that is to die for, and their dinners are nothing short of amazing! (Rosa Maria's??) You have to get the Mexican coffee!!  The entire staff was very friendly and helpful.  The view from the sky deck is beautiful however, we never did catch a crowd at the bar up there. We had a deluxe king room and had a mini-fridge and a microwave and a huge balcony overlooking Av Revolucion. I guess my only complaint was that there really wasn't anywhere to put away your clothes for long stays, and we only had 1 extra coat hanger in our closet. (I'm sure we could have asked for more if we really needed them) and those darn roosters... you can't really do anything about those, they are everywhere ;)  All in all, we had a very pleasant stay here and will be going back the next time we visit.

Beautiful hotel, lovely room with a stunning view and iguanas everywhere in the treetops!

We recently traveled to Sayulita during the busiest tourist seasons in Sayulita, beginning of the year. We spent 5-nights in a Deluxe Double Room at Oz and were not once disappointed in the room cleanliness or service by the hotel. Our room was pristine upon arrival and the housekeepers took care each day to make our room ultra-comfortable. They even set our two daughters stuffed animals up on the beds and the kids thought it was adorable. We had to leave a note for them to take the tip we left, as they didn't touch it without the note.

The mini-bar was nicely stocked with adult and kid-friendly options. I loved that they brought 3 new bottles of water to our room each day and only changed towels when we laid them on the floor. The bathroom was luxurious in every sense of the word and I spent multiple evenings in the waterall style shower. I wanted to bring that home with me. 

We spent about 30 minutes one evening at the rooftop pool and it was dead, although a few other nights you could hear families up there having a good time. It was a nice clean pool that didn't smell too heavily of chlorine and it had a very nice lounge area.

As for the food. I was so disappointed. Our food felt and tasted old. The price was outrageous (1400pesos without any drinks). It was our least favorite meal of the entire trip. Later we ordered drinks there in the evening. My husband got a margarita and I got a bloody mary, both doubles, and we shelled out 800 pesos for that 2 drinks.
