Beautiful campsite with private facilities. No electricy, no wifi, totally embracing the nature surrounding you. Free access to the campsite swimming pool and to a where you can watch the most incredible african sunsets. You can also take advantage of some activites offered by the lodge in partnership with them (Rhino tracking, Elephant traching, Culture walk, etc)

Perfect stay. The place is amazing even with electricity. People were very nice and the rhino tracking was wonderful.
For hot water, this is funny system, but it works well.

Wonderful.

We stayed for one night - should have stayed longer! A beautiful remote place on the edge of a plane up the mountain. Incredible view. The lodge reminded us a little on an in the Alps in Germany/Austria in a completely Namibian way. The lodge is owned and managed by the local community! Service very nice and reflects on the ownership of all present.

Lot of space, very clean area. we loved the open toilet and the cosy bathroom. The staff was very friendly and helpful! Nice sunsetbar with a lovely view!

Lovely campsite

We stayed at Hoada Campsite for 2 nights in July 2024. The camp (and Grootberg lodge) is run by a community conservancy, which empowers the local community to manage their own land and livelihoods. The campsite was in a stunning location very spacious and protected by huge boulders, and the toilet and shower were up on the rocks, which was very unique and gave a sense of privacy. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We went on a Rhino tracking tour with them, which was an amazing experience. They were so thoughtful and professional, and we learned a lot about the community’s efforts to live, harmoniously with wildlife and sustainably through ecotourism. Our only regret is that we couldnt stay longer. Thanks for the great memories, keep up the good work and we hope to be back! 

Amazing

Had one of the best stays here during out trip through Namibia. We had one of the tents equipped with a bed. It was great. From the friendly staff, the sundown bar, the charming hikes, and the dassies greating you in the morning.. it was great!

Beautiful camp between the boulders

We had such great time at Hoada. Beautiful surroundings, friendly people and great staff.  Will definitely be back. The cultural tour was a life-changing experience that should be a MUST for everyone.  Thank you for making us feel welcome!

GREAT STAY AT HOADA

If you like a peace of mind Hoada Campsite is the best and the staff are helpful. The campsite is clean and there is noise.. The swimming pool between the rocks is beautiful. Really enjoy my stay at Hoada Campsite 

My stay at Hoada Campsite

Wow! What a wonderful place to stay. The view from the terrace and pool are astonishing to say the least. We had no complaints about our lodging, yes it’s rustic but look where you are! The bed was clean and comfortable, the shower worked fine and you can sit on your balcony and just step away from the troubles in the world and take it all in, priceless.
If fancy trappings and luxury is what you want, then stay away - please.
Our evening meal, which was a set menu was excellent as was the breakfast the next day. How they get the fresh supplies is a mystery? 
The staff were all brilliant and even sang to us after dinner, very special.
This lodge is up a very steep unpaved road, you will not make it without 4WD but there is a lodge at the bottom with parking who will presumably transport you if needed.
We stayed all over Namibia for two weeks and whilst there were many special places, this one is the first that comes to mind when I think of this trip.

Magical and will live long in the memory

Phantastic location with exceptional view. Very friendly and courteous service. We stayed (and recommend) 2 nights to relax after travelling the more northern part of Namibia. Joining the infinity pool is a must.
