Incredible staff, amazing food, great espresso machine, filtered water, and the heated blankets are a game changer.

Loved staying here when I was going through the valley.  Mingma really does know how to run a great place.  Would stay again.

Cozy, peaceful and beautiful place, and wonderful people! Great service and food, with high standards throughout. I stayed two nights on the way up and two nights on the way down, and I will definitely come back. I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else in Namche.

Your Home Away From Home in the Himalayas

Our second time back at Panorama Lodge has been a dream, thanks to owners Mingma and Ama! Mingma ensured we knew exactly where to go and who would pick us up from Lukla airport. From there, continuing up to the lodge was smooth thanks to our friendly guide Tula, who accommodated all of us (and our different paces) while carrying our bags up.

Walking into Panorama Lodge itself feels like luxury, and not just because we arrived after a two-day hike - the entire lodge is clean and warm. We stayed in the deluxe rooms, which are gorgeous and come with fully-functioning electric blankets (comes in handy on those cold Namche nights!) and a real hot shower. The dining room is equally inviting, being clean and warm while serving delicious food and coffee. Coupled with speedy laundry service and a bird’s eye view of both Namche Bazar and Kongde Ri, there’s nothing we don’t love about staying at Panorama!

Being 15 minutes above the village centre, some may find it slightly further. However, this actually makes the lodge a more peaceful respite. It’s also much closer to the starting point for the various day treks you can do from Namche. Mingma took us to the Nauje Gonda (Namche monastery), Everest Museum, Hillary Viewpoint/Gong Ri, Phurte village nursery, Sagarmatha Next, and the Sherpa Museum within the National Park which offers a panoramic view (pun intended) of the surrounding mountain ranges. And here’s a local secret: ask him to bring you to the Namche Dog Shelter, only a 20-minute walk away :)

Of course, it’s the lovely Panorama team who made the stay such a wonderful one. Mingma and Ama are knowledgeable about the region and goes above and beyond to ensure the welfare of all their guests, even arranging a direct heli back to KTM after our stay. The rest of the staff are also friendly and helpful (thank you Arjun, Safal and Niraz!). Whether you are visiting for the first or hundredth time, the lodge always feels like home.

We first came for the views but we’ve returned for the people. Thank you for the lovely stay as always. We really can’t wait to be back at Panorama Lodge, so khole phep and see you all soon!

Amazing lodge and people

Great hotel. Beautiful rooms, hot water is constantly in the room, wifi and charging gadgets are included in the room rate. Delicious food in the restaurant. Free drinking water at any time.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Panorama lodge in Namche Bazar, Nepal! The lodge exceeded our expectations in every way. The rooms were cozy and comfortable, with breathtaking views of the Himalayas. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming (especially Arjun, who was way too sweet to help us), making us feel right at home [Thank you Amma and Mingma] . The food was delicious and plentiful, and the hot showers in the room were a lovely treat after a long day of trekking. The lodge's atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a lovely fireplace and comfortable common areas. We felt so well taken care of and relaxed during our stay. Thank you to the entire team at Panaromia for making our time in Namche Bazar so special. We can't wait to return some day!

The best lodge in Nepal

Spent two nights at Panorama on our EBC trek. From being offered mint tea on our arrival to being given hot towels before dinner and everything in between (heated beds, laundry service, excellent food) this lodge was superb. The owner and his staff were extremely pleasant and helpful during our stay. Any requests were met with we will take care of it. By far the best stay on the entire EBC trek.

Superb- don't miss it

The best accommodation during the whole trekking tour. There were hot showers at all times in the attached bathroom, even electric blankets in the bed, an always heated dining room - even in the morning, a super nice owner and delicious food. Absolutely recommended but please order deluxe room!

The best choice for Namche Bazar

After a long day trekking, the Panorama was so warm and welcoming. The staff was TOP NOTCH. Dinesh made the most beautiful coffee drinks. All of the staff spoiled us, from the managers and servers to the kitchen staff. They all made us feel like family. The menu was diverse and delicious. Our beds had electric blankets and our rooms were clean and comfy....and the views!! In order to avoid plastic bottled water, they have a top notch filtration system and they will fill up your water bottles. I highly recommend the Panorama.

It's no accident that the Panorama is the highest rated lodging in Namche Bazar.   It's hard to decide where to begin to describe its virtues.  I'll start with it owners.   Sherpa Mingma is without a doubt a world class host, working hard in a very friendly, sincere way to ensure his guests have a memorable stay.   I was at the lodge for a full week and was blown away by the warmth of the hospitality.   The restaurant is comfortable, attractive and serves terrific food.   The rooms are actually very attractive, a rarity along the trekking trail and very comfortable with honest to God HEATED BEDS!.  The baths are roomy and feature hot showers night and day.   I would recommend the Panorama to anyone who wants a world class respite from the rigors of the trail!  There's no lodging between Lukla and base camp that comes anywhere near the class of this institution!
