My three night stay was a very good.The staff at this cottage very friendly. Driving a Jeep safari inside the Suklaphanta national park was another thing to explore the natur and wildlife . Many thanks to guide Kum Thakur and the entire Suklafata family for this.

Wildlife

We visited with family earlier this year unexpectedly and really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We had a bonfire and delicious food during our visit as well. In the morning the monkeys came out and were quite entertaining!

Neat place with amazing food

this cottage is definitely worth a visit. it s a really peaceful place with a great yard which will give you a zen feeling. premium location as it is just on the edge of the national park. so hit the jungle with them they are really knowledgeable. and the staff is very warm. they will walk the extra mile for you.

a piece of heaven

Was there with my family for overnight stay... Staffs were friendly and courteous... Foods served tasted authentic... Jungle safari organised by them was above my expectations... WiFi was working perfectly considering the fact that the place was adjacent to the jungle... 

Decent place 

I found my room and especially the bathroom to be clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable and the sheets and quilt cover we're very clean and fresh. The staff were friendly and helpful with any questions. The food was delicious and the Cooks were ready to make any adjustments to the way the meal was prepared. The place has a village setting and was very quiet especially at night. The grounds were swept up every morning.
Overall I would highly recommend it to those who have been traveling and require a quiet place to recoup away from the noise of the cities.

It is near  the Shuklaphanta game preserve. A nice camping style experience. Food is good. Bathroom facilities are typical for Nepal and India. Occasional hot water in the “shower”. Beware of the geese. Staff is very friendly.

Unique jungle experience

Adequate mid-range hotel that is most comfortable catering to Nepali and Indian tourists so so fine if you like eating dal bhat - especially as theirs' was tasty. Breakfast tends to be the standard white sliced bread and dayglow jam and omelet. 
The main niggle was everything was at extra charge so although the prices were reasonable our bill at the end was about double that we expected.
Also they were unable to provide a 'guide' who knew much about the animal life - although to be fair our visit was during the major festival of Tihar.
As Suklaphanta is off the main tourist routes though there isn't a great deal of choice of accommodation unless you want to best yourself in the small town of Mahandranagar. But if you do that you won't hear the Spotted Deer 'shouting'.
