Our stay was nice. The hotel staff was super nice. Agabe at the front dest was phenomenal! She was so attentive and greeted us every time we passed her during our 4 night stay. And by our names. She asked us if we needed anything and told us not to hesitate to let her know if we needed anything. My family was there in Santa Diego for the Dia de Los Muertos events. My dad is 72 and and in a wheelchair. A guest parked in the handicap stall who was not handicap and she helped us to get a wheelchair accessible parking so we could load my dad into the car. Both my little daughters just loved her. She is a gem. And a true asset to that hotel. I will DEFINITELY recommend this hotel to my friends and family and 100% come stay here again just because of her. It's very rare and hard to find people like her that don't judge and look down on people like us who look a little rough around the edges. Miss Agabe, we appreciate you very much and pray that you are blessed greatly for the kindness you show all who cross your path. 
We also appreciate the housekeeping staff who made sure we had clean towels and toiletries. They were also very nice and greeted us as we passed.

Agabe was Wonderful

I found the staff at hotel Double Tree to be very helpful and friendly.
The rooms were clean and the garden was pleasant to sit and have breakfast which was excellent.
Something that impressed me was that Kola (the manager) allowed one of the women cleaner to bring her son each morning so that he had a safe place to stay before he went to school. He even fed him each day. This type of compassion speaks volumes about the atmosphere created at Doubletree by Kola and his staff. I'll be back

Great location with friendly staff

The three of us used The Double Tree Hotel as our base for a week's stay in the region, with different combinations of people staying  on more than one night. The Manager, Kola, gave us excellent service,  tailored to our particular needs, and being very flexible about our comings and goings. He was very efficient and kind, and could not have done more to make our stay a pleasant one. He arranged a car for our excursions when needed. We were able to leave bags there without charge when we went off on a short trek. We had a complimentary taxi to the Tourist Bus Park on the morning of our departure. He also took a genuine personal interest in us, and we felt showed considerable pride in giving us the best service he could.

One practical point- the hotel takes Visa (though the connection can be slow) - useful, because so many places dont.

The hotel has its own quiet garden ( with beautiful, well- tended flowers at the time of our visit- the scent of jasmine was memorable). We had most breakfasts on the upper balcony, an airy and sunny spot. The staff were helpful, courteous and smiling and very willing to supply anything that we needed - additional toilet rolls or towels, for example. Rooms were of adequate size. It is set back a little from the main thoroughfare - a distinct advantage in our view- though the shops are only a couple of minutes away.

We would recommend the Annapurna Eco Village if your budget allows. We also went to Begnas Tal - a very quiet and peaceful lake, in our view even nicer than the main lake at Pokhara. We visited the Tibetan Camp at Tashi Palkhel though, as The Rough Guide says, we would have got much more from it if we had had a guide. I imagine Kola could have organised this if we had thought in advance to ask.

The Manager makes this hotel special

If i had to describe Hotel  Doubletree in one word, I would call it home.
Friendly staff, comfortable rooms and great food. An ideal place to stay in Pokhara.
And then of course the nice Easy mentality of people from Nepal, which personally makes it feel like my second home

Value for money

Very nice and peaceful place, warm hospitality, the rooms were clean and house keeping was good.
There is a balcony outside the rooms which is nice place to hang out in the morning.
Laundry service is available as well, for 1 kg 100 Nepal rupees.

DO NOT STAY HERE! What these people do is befriend you, get you a room for as long as they can, with you paying upfront, knowing that many visitors aren't up on the knowledge on the pricing and then badger you to write a review saying how excellent within a day of staying and realising that £11 a night is ridiculously expensive when it's too late. I've travelled all around the World and to get an idea, in Katmandu, just down the road I was paying 15p for a bus ride. These people are snakes and I wouldn't go near them. Also they'll expect at least £500 for a 2 day trek with their guide. There are other hotels but check out the best and of course the worst reviews on Trip advisor first.
