Staff were friendly and helpful although no one at reception upon our arrival. Beautiful location. Comfortable room. Unfortunately the room was dirty. Hotel old and in need of freshen up. The duvet was stained and smelt like it hadn’t been washed in a very long time. The room smelt very musky and needs a dehumidifier to remove the dampness. Price unfortunately didn’t represent quality of hotel. Very expensive for what we got.

Booked room online, when we arrived they had given our room to a walk-in guest. They weren’t apologetic and we will never go back. Poor customer service and we found other better and cheaper accommodation up the road.

Reception, which is situated in front of the service door to the local Four Square, was unattended over  the full duration of our stay. The unit we stayed in had a very poor view of Gulf Harbour and has to be the worst 4.5 star establishment we have ever stayed at. The kitchenette was poorly equiped and the unit, in general, was in need of some serious care and attention. The carpet was dirty and old and the curtains and one of the bedspreads torn. The room was overcrowded as a result of an extra single bed which had no bedspread - cannot think why a "Premier Room" for two had two double beds and the extra. Cannot think of a single good thing about the place.

Don't stay at Gulf Harbour Lodge.

This would be the most disgusting accommodation ever. For $200 per night we arrived to a room that wasn’t even vacuumed, there was mould everywhere, someone had even shaved and left their hair shavings on the mirror by the bed and there was poop on the toilet seat!!!! This was filthy and no ownership by the Manager at all. Instead she tried to blame us and said “the clean when we left took longer than normal.” These pics were taken on arrival and show how bad it is especially for the price they are charging. Do not stay here. It wouldn’t even be good for your health with the amount of mould on the curtains and walls. The stairs even up to the first and second floor have loose fittings. This place is unacceptable and the staff need some training and management. Such a shame but stay clear. We paid on arrival so we couldn’t afford to lose $800 and leave and were stuck for 4 nights. One word: GROSS!!!

Do not stay here!!! Warning!!!

No one at front desk.  Had to ring a number and were then told keys on the desk. Asked if we could pay cash as computer not working. 
Get to room and although sheets are clean the pillows are flat as pancakes and only 3 pillows on the bed?
The basin in bathroom is blocked.
The carpets are black with mold...it cannot be healthy to sleep in such a room.
Way too expensive for what you get..the owners should be ashamed.

There was the tiniest little milk pod in the fridge. 
Window latch broken could not close window. The curtains were not even hooked in properly.

Don't see us again!!
