Great hospitality & Staff.  View of harbor was beautiful!!!  The room was modern and very quiet.  Hotel also has a restaurant & pub offering locally sourced seafood.  The staff was very curious and accommodating.  Highly recommend.

Beautiful View - Wonderful Hospitality

This hotel has been recently refurbished and wow, the rooms reflect the Nordkyn landscape and have views out onto the fjord; we were able to hear the waves lapping on the shore from bed. 
The staff were friendly and we received a very personal service and they were happy to help us with road closures and our questions. 
We had such a lovely time here and look forward to coming back! 

Wonderful view and friendly staff

I really like this hotel, and Kjøllefjord! The staff is very friendly. The room was really yellow, but it doesn’t matter, because the view is priceless! The room was big! One of the largest hotel rooms I’ve ever been in. The bathroom and the room itself was very clean. The hotel room had a couch and a pair of bar stools, so that you can sit up high and admire the view over the fjord, so lovely. They make the beds and empty the trash every day, and this is definitely a hotel I want to come back to. The breakfast is nice, and the restaurant. I also need to mention that there was a large flat screen in my room, free wi-fi and some candy.

Amazing view!

We had a great dinner in the evening. Fish prepared locally and served in traditional manner. Probably brought to land by locals as well. The meat was also delicious. The staff is attentive. We felt very welcome. The only drawback was the limited selection of wine, althought the champagne was priced quite low, compared to restaurants in Oslo. That is an overall experience in Finnmark though. In the afternoon we had the traditional Norwegian «bløtkake» (a cake) that was as soft and sweet as it is supposed to be. Warm atmosphere in the common area is also a good thing here.  

Hospitality & dedication in service and food

The driving up to northernmost part of Europe mainland (North Cape is on an island) is very easy. A brand new road let you fly over the hills and slopes and dales at 90 km pr hour (mostly in Norway the limit is 80 km/hour). There are three small towns here at the top of the world, Kjøllefjord, Mehamn and Gamvik. We found Hotel Nordkyn at Kjøllefjord.
The hotel is not new, but clean and nice and situated near the harbour. The room was the biggest we had in Northern Norway, and the food was good. A nice trip to take in the evening, is to drive by Mehamn and Gamvik to Slettnes fyr (lighthouse), many tourists know about this spot, the northernmost lighthouse on the European mainland. There is a small cafe at the lighthouse. At Kjøllefjord you will find the northernmost birch forest in the World.

Hotel Nordkyn's best qualities are it's location and it's friendly staff. The rooms are average with a standard you expected ten years ago. Plus for excellent beds and a bathroom with a good shower. Other good qualities are free WiFi and free parking. The breakfast was included, and it was nice with among others eggs, shrimps and smoked salmon. I also had dinner twice, and it was really good.

Friendly hotel with excellent service!

Kjollefjord is such a beautiful place! This hotel and especially a questhouse is just low average.  Dont get me wrong, staff was helpfull and really gave me a good impression, but place is outdated. There was some really strange smell in a questhouse overall. I have no idea how the real fully booked hotelrooms are. Breakfast was basic average. Situation is spot on in a center of village. In Kjollefjord there is however a better alternative, I mean FOLDALBRUKET. If you will, read my review on that beautiful place.
