Had a lovely stay with Chris and Teddy at Sol de Oro.
They were so friendly and helpful. Chris speaks good English. Very fast laundry turn around for a good price. There is a break room with pool table,
ping pong and table football. There is also a garden
with loungers/chairs and hammocks. Kitchen is small
but well-equipped with good size fridge. There are lockers outside the rooms if you want to store anything extra securely during day trips. Also luggage storage available if doing Colca etc.

Best value and amazing staff

The hostel is in a great location, very close to the plaza. Cris the owner of the hostel is nice and kind, he helped us with everything we needed. In the hostel there is nice kitchen, a garden, a roof with excellent view. Also there is ping pong table 

Awesome 

Very friendly and helpful guy running the place, great value for money, there is a nice area out the back to chill out in which gets the evening sun with a pool table and ping pong table. Also there is a cat!

Great hostel

Great hostel. Location is excellent and the owner is a great guy who is very accommodating and knowledgeable. The facilities are nice. Great for backpackers. The kitchen is clean and breakfast is worth the price!

Amazing place!

Fantastic location, a nice garden area which I don't think a lot of hostels have, it was very nice to have somewhere outside to relax, good breakfast and nice rooms to stay in. The staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble, you were able to store your bags whilst going to do treks, shower on your return, booked taxis for you and they have in house tours that they can organise for you. Very good value for money, I would definitely recommend.

Excellent stay

The hostel is located very close to plaza de armas, the rooms and beds are comfy. The owner is really amazing, he is friendly and helped me with any question i had. The hostel has a nice kitchen and a huge garden to chill and hang. Very recommended!

Very good hostel

We stayed for some days in Arequipa and had a great time. The Hostal had such a nice atmosphair. The owner and other stuff were really friendly, uncomplicated and helpful if we had questions about activities in and around the city. It has such a nice terrace to spend time and eat breakfast or selfcooked dinner from the small but more than enough kitchen. The shower was really every time hot:) There’s also a nice garden with a hamac. It’s well located like 5-10 minutes walking to the center. I really recommend this place when you want to stay in Arequipa.

Cosy place to be

We had a wonderful time in this Hostel! With warm showers, luggage store, clean kitchen, garden, the possibility to play pingpong and to relax in the hammock this wasn't just a place to sleep - it was a place to be und enjoy. I would recommend everybody to stay here during their time in Arequipa. :)

Wonderful! Maravilloso!

This hostal has a very friendly host. They promptly picked us from airport which I prearranged with them. Plaza de armas is just a 5 min walk away. The plaza has lots of eateries. Walk to san calina local market which is also a few streets away. You can find locals going about their everyday life. We were great 2 nights. The second night the reception phone kept ringing in the wee hours of morning though. Hot water and bed is fine. Will stay here again. 

Very nice hostal

Good value for your money. The owner and staff were very helpful. The rooms and the beds were very clean. Plenty of hot water. The hostel is in a convenient location. Although check out was in the morning, the owner kindly allowed us to use the kitchen and common area until we were scheduled to catch our bus later in the day.
