What was good

Easy 5 minute walk to Praca de Commercio, the heart of Lisbon, and a great jumping off point to explore the whole old town. Very modern, well kept rooms with hardwood floors and well scrubbed surfaces. Clean and sleak. Staff are polyglottal and went out of their way to make great recommendations for dinner and give us the lay of the land.

What was bad

Automatic light sensors in hallways are poorly placed, meaning you walk into totally dark halls and stairwells for a few moments before the lights come on. Breakfast was lackluster and bland. Elevator stops between floors- this hotel would not work for a wheelchair user or anyone who cannot use stairs.
