I picked this place as it was a short walk from the dive centre where I'd be spending most of my time here.
The actual room is very nice, 2 single beds, nice and comfy, a desk and chair, huge built-in wardrobe, and a huge shared ablution room across the hall (you'll need to run the shower for a fair while to get hot water). The view was more to the side but, really, quite unimportant for me. 
Downstairs there's a huge communal space with tv, table, chairs, sofas, a wee kettle, cups and saucers, etc, and there's wifi all over, including the room. Sadly, no coffee, nowhere close by to get one, and even the tea tray was almost bare bar a few herbal infusions. 
Next door there is a sort of restaurant, which is reservation only and not open for breakfast, as well as an ethnographic museum. 
It is a bit of a hike from the central area but it is nice and quiet and the hosts are really nice too.

Nice place, friendly hosts

A Buraca is a lovely guesthouse close to the sea. The owners are very nice people, and love their business, so they put a lot of effort both at their place, and at helping visitors. The only trouble that I had here was a shaky WiFi connection, and it got fixed promptly.

A nice place to stay

When we booked here we had the consciousness that for a small fee you cannot pretend an high level service but we didn't expect to spend our stay in a way like this. The creepy bathroom outside the room was unclean with a really bad smell inside and it has never been cleaned for our whole stay (3 days), neither before our arrival (check-in had with three young boys who took care of preparing the room and clean in few seconds the WC with a spray... 
never met the owner of the structure). The bedroom was clean enough, happy about it, even if so much humid (there is a dehumidifier inside, use it!) but the living room (the only place where WiFi has signal) has been untied for days, cups for breakfast remaining on the table for more than a day, garbage bin beside the table not emptied and another persistant kind of bad odour you could smell already entering the house. 
The house is nice in any case but cleaning must be improved for sure. A suggestion: if you want to get here, please be sure to have a car rented otherwise you will be forced to stay in the middle of nothing for your whole stay! Ah, the cat... so lovely! Give him cuddles! 

Low price, but...

When I came back in my bedroom, during my first night in this place, I found many cockroaches. Even on my pillow, my blanket..everywhere! I called the landlady and, despite the fact that she didn't speak English, she simply said that was my fault because I left the window open. When I decided to go away she started shouting at me in Portoguese, getting very angry instead that being sorry.
Absolutely not acceptable conditions for a place to stay.
