The winery, tour guide, and wines were really nice!
It was a super hot day, but it was really nice inside the wine cellars and in the tasting room . The views from the winery are amazing, and seems like it would be really nice to stay in their place .

Nice wine tasting experience in the heart of Duoro!

I cannot say enough about this place....it was absolutely surreal. Stunning views and accommodation straight out of a romance novel. Everything was perfect. This property is breathtaking, the wine and food perfection and the staff were friendly and helpful. This was the highlight of our Portugal trip...words cannot even describe the beauty.

We had the wine tour and it was worth it by the reception views alone!, Patricia was very passionate about every detail involving their wine production and she explained everything in detail but easy to understand for people that don't know much about it like me.
The end of the tour is the wine testing and it was beautifully done.

We came here by accident and had the best meal we had in Portugal. Gorgeous lasagne of all things; and a half chicken. But so well done and the wine was delicious. Highly recommend

The deck overlooking the river is gorgeous. Reservations seem to be a must, so plan ahead!

Amazing food. Amazing deck. Amazing view. Amazing value

Brilliant food in a great restaurant beautifully situated. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Well worth a visit to Pinhão just to dine at this restaurant. Not pretentious but definitely worth a mention in the Michelin Guide, or possibly 1 Star.

Took the train to Pinhao then walked up the hill to this Quinta (about 20 minutes, paved most of the way, otherwise flat cobblestones). When arriving it was confusing, not knowing where to go for what so recommend adding more specific signage. Though after finding the restaurant we had a welcoming experience and impeccable and delicious meal. Gourmet and upscale without being stuffy. Loved it! Then did a tour and tasting which was interesting and tasty.

Super lunch and experience

We had an amazing stay at the Quinta. We arrived by train to Pinhao and did not have any problems getting a taxi to drive us to the Quinta. The rest of our stay we enjoyed the beautiful walk to town along the river (about 3/4 of a mile each way). The staff is very kind and helpful. Our room was huge and modern with a large bathroom. We also had a small balcony overlooking the river and valley. Amazing! There is a lot of outdoor walking necessary to get to the rooms and/or restaurant and we had two fights of outdoor stairs to go down to get to our room. Not a problem for us, but guests should be aware. It included a wonderful and beautifully presented breakfast buffet everyday. We enjoyed walking in their vineyards. We also did the wine tour and tasting - which we really enjoyed and recommend. Finally, we had the best dinner of the trip (which is saying a lot) at their restaurant. We had a spectacular meal of roasted octopus and garlic kale with their homemade chocolate ice cream for dessert. This was a fine dining experience that we felt was well worth it.

Wonderful Quinta in a spectacular setting

Quinta De la Rosa was a wonderful stay. Rooms are clean and comfortable. There was a nice seating area and we slept well in the bed. Service was attentive. The views are spectacular. As they are primarily a quinta/winemaker, you are staying at the base of a vineyard, on the river, with spectacular views across to hillsides of grapes. It was gorgeous. We did a tour and tasting at the quinta, where we learned a lot, the wine was delicious and we never felt rushed. We also ate at their restaurant, which is upscale, very good and a nice change from the usual Portuguese food. They also provided a booklet with options for hikes in the vineyard. As long as you’re comfortable with some uphill climbing, it was a great hike. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and would return and recommend to others. 

Fantastic stay at Quinta De la Rosa 

Beautiful place to stay. We were there in November and the autumn colours were spectacular. No need for a coat as still 18c in the day. Rooms are great, pool looked wonderful and the views are amazing. The breakfasts and dinner were lovely - a very special dining experience. We had no problem parking but obviously it is a hill and vale area so be prepared if such things worry you. The wine tour and tasting was very interesting; such good staff who clearly enjoy their work at this family business. Book up - you won’t regret it.

A group of us went on a wine tasting and cellar tour with Maria in English. She was incredible and so full of knowledge. We learnt so much about port and also the winery itself. Came away with a few bottles of port to take home with us!
