Our stat here eas pretty random. We decided to do a three daya roadtrip in which we could both do our work and enjoy a bit the freetime so we decided to do the Transalpina starting from Horezu and finishing it in Sibiu. So i looked for some place to spend the night there that wouldn’t get us in bankrupcy nor sleep in some getto. I searched on booking.com and Vila Fortuna was the hot deal of the day at only 106 lei(approx. 22€) a standard double room. So i bookes it and that was it.

Somewhere in the evening i was called to be informed that they will finish their work schedule at 7PM and that they texted me all the info i needed to get into the building and that i will fins the key on the reception desk. The info was very accurate and we managed to get into our room which i believe it’s called Biblioteque. It was a very cozy and beautiful room, i loved the design details, the bookcase wallpaper and mostly that there was an actual book in the nightstand. There also was a paper with the short history of how the place caught life which i loved it, so, this is for the owner, guys, i love what you managed to do and the dedication and passion you have and i really want to meet you to talk about music and trips. Thank you for this beautiful place that you’ve offered us!

Love it

I loved Pensiunea Fortuna. I've been there in September 2017 and I really enjoyed the room and the whole setup, the garden, the staff and a very clean enviroment. Because of my activity, I didn't have time for breakfast, so I don't know the service there, but as far as the rooms go, I sincerely recommend Fortuna for a relaxing stay in Sibiu. I heard the food is great, but haven't tried it yet. 

There's free Wi-Fi, wide TV, AC, big double rooms.

Not a hotel but like a hotel

We have found the Vila to be exactly as described, very easy self check-in, the owner very nice. Distance to city centre very convenient. We would  come back to stay there the next time. Liked the decorations.

Nice experience

VERY hard to find but once you do it is in a quiet neighborhood and close walking distance to the historical area - less than 15 minutes. Clean and cosy. Not expensive. No breakfast served but has coffee/ tea maker in room.  Bed ok, a bit soft so you sink into the middle.  Nicely decorated.  I bit of a challenge to get in if you are not there in the morning.  Most place have afternoon check in.  This is more the reverse!

VERY hard to find but nice

Stayed one night with some friends after we had driven the Transfagarasan Highway which is only an hour away. Sibiu has a beautiful historic centre but this place is a fair hike from the centre. However a cab cost us less than 3€ into the main square.
The Vila Fortuna Art o'clock is more of a guest house than a hotel, just a jumble of rooms really without other facilities. However the rooms are clean a reasonably large with OK bathrooms. Each room done in a different arty style. My room could have done with a new bed. Very low and extremely noisy. It creeked and groaned every time I moved. I wa a little concerned that it might collapse. There is parking for three vehicles on the forecourt then you have to park wherever you can in the street which is residential with not a lot of space. That said there is some public parking at the end of the road but I can't vouch for its security. 
We were checked in by a very helpful and cheerful young lady who was the only member of staff we encountered. Very good value for money if you are looking for somewhere cheap and don't mind being out of the centre.

OK for one night but not in the city centre

It was very cold in the room, the heat function only few hours in the night. The hot water was more cold than hot, the towels was probably white ten years ago, now they are grey.
So call ''renovation in 2015'' is just some wall paint and  wallpaper.
After 7 pm the reception is closed and nobody answer to the phone, so don't loose the door card, you will sleep on the street!
