staff was rude and abusive when politely asked about wifi not working was abused  againwhen asked why they had no bowls, place was a complete mess staff had parties  daily gatherings with girlfriends in  kitchen room room. bed smelt and fridge was disgusting with smell comming from it. yes location is ok but all of the above plus more made it the worst hotel i have ever been to and i have stayed in plenty of back packers and budget hotel go at your own risk you have been warned

K Pop Guesthouse Seoul Station would be a great choice for couple or friends who wants a place to stay during your visit to Seoul.

It's very near to the Seoul Station (10 mins by walking) where it'll be easy for you to grab the subway train or bus to your different destinations. It's also a 10 mins walk to Lotte Mart or Lotte Outlet for you to buy groceries or cosmetics. Moreover, you can take bus Number 3 (5 mins walk to Namdaemun Police Station stop) to Namdaemun Market (heaven for souvenir hunters) or to the famous N Seoul Tower. 

The staffs in the guesthouse are friendly & ready to help you anytime. They are able to speak in Korean, English & Japanese. 

The rooms are quite small with mainly bunk beds, a TV table & a cupboard. The bathrooms are shared with other occupants as well unless you book rooms with bathrooms in the room. If you're travelling with kids or elderly person,it's not recommended to stay here due to the small space & there isn't any elevator (lifts). 

If you are booking the room with breakfast,please get ready for surprises. They only serve bread, jam & peanut butter. It's advisable to bring your own food as they have prepared microwave oven, refrigerators as well as stoves.

With all these, I would highly recommend this guesthouse to whoever wished to stay near to Seoul Station which will provide you more opportunity to explore Seoul. Happy staying!!!

Excellent service with incredible accessibility

We stayed for a week and the accomodation left a lot to be desired. Check in was easy and the staff were friendly but the guesthouse was far from perfect. Breakfast was jam toast, the rooms were small and stuffy, the common room was a little dank and the wifi often cut out. I would not stay here again. 

Very budget accomodation 

The hotel is very cheap and in a very convenient location. You get breakfast and own room too. It’s a little hard to find though so make sure you have the correct location as there are other “kpop” hotels in the area.

Good and cheap hotel

We had to be moved to a different hotel after a burst pipe flooded our room while we were sleeping. The staff were helpful and kind however the place is not what is advertised. The bed was a squeaky rock, the walls were stained and the actual hostel is located down a seedy alley with a door that doesnt get locked at night.  The bathroom shower was broken and difficult to use as the water temp kept fluctuating. Probably an ok stay for one night but no more.

Lasted only 4 hours

For our 3 night stay we booked a room with a double bed and its own bathroom, but initially they put us in a tiny room with a bunk bed. Fortunately, they graciously moved us to another small room that had a double bed and its own bathroom. Towels were supplied in the room, but these were too small to properly dry off with - luckily we had brought our own towels along. 

They included a simple breakfast of toast and Biscoff spread, which is sufficient if you want to spend the day trying all of the food that Seoul has to offer. If you want to prepare your own meals in the kitchen, it is helpful to bring your own cutlery as there was not enough for more than 2-3 people. As mentioned, there is no elevator so pack lightly or use a backpack, just to make climbing the stairs a bit easier. 

The surrounding area is quiet, and conveniently located near the Lotte Mart and Seoul Station - which is ideal if you plan on exploring Seoul via the subway. It is also ideal as Seoul Station is the last stop on the KTX line from the airport (just use exit 11 to get to the guesthouse). 

The Lotte Mart is helpful if you want to buy ingredients to prepare your own meals, otherwise there are also a number of options when it comes to eating out (but definitely not as many as you would find in one of the more touristy areas).

Overall, K-Pop Guesthouse was comfortable and met our travel needs for our first trip to Seoul, but in future we would probably look for something else if we were spending more than just 2-3 nights.

Comfortable and Near Seoul Station

Stayed here for just 1 night in a private room with bunk beds because we had to catch an early morning KTX the next day. You have to take exit 11 out of Seoul Station metro to reach this place. This isn't mentioned anywhere and if you exit from the main gate you can't cross the road. 
Rooms are clean, but really tiny, so watch out if you have a lot of luggage as you won't be able to move around. There's also no elevator so you have to carry your bags up the stairs (this is however mentioned up front, so you know what you are signing up for). The bathrooms were clean, but a bit disappointing. They are shared bathrooms and there were lots of toothbrushes/personal items left by others in the bathroom. The place around the hotel also shuts down by around 9PM or so. Stay here only if you want to catch a train to someplace or intend to stay for a really short period.

Near Seoul Station

I looked some comments before i booked this hotel, overall seems no good. But for my experience, that hotel is best in Seoul for packpackers. At the same cost, i get one bed in dorm room in Myeongdong and Hongdae, shared my space with some noisy people, also sharing bathroom. Here, i get my own small room and feel comfortable, they serve all items needed in bathroom. And the reception is best ever. She was extremely kind to help checking night bus to airport, she brings me to pharmacy when i was sick. Only one bad point is that hotel dont have elevator, and not big space to keep all customer luggages. Thats all my idea, if you expected for 4* hotel with this price it seems imppossible!

Warm stay

The place is very ideal if its your first time to visit seoul. Very close to Seoul Station which is very convenient for travellers. And the price is very much reasonable. And the staff (front desk guys) speak good english

Very good place 

The picture attached was far below the actual place. Small room, steep stairs with no handrail, dirty room, torn towel, no lift, smelly shoe racks, a rude man (staff) and not that close to Seoul Station. I do not understand why people review that this place is facilitated with good facilities. Frankly, at the time you enter the place, you can see that the door was broken. And there's a lot of luggage at reception. My nightmare here. FYI, I did not stay this guesthouse as I stay at jimjilbang. We overslept and the staff was shouting at us. I do understand you need to clean the place for the next customer. But, I would appreciate if you can speak nicer. Or else, ask for additional fees. As far as I concerned, I said sorry for many time, yet, he keeps angry. I left some of my stuff there because of that! How can he be that angry as I did not even slept/use the room. We just put our stuff there. So not nice Korean Oppa.
