I arrived here 4am and the owner, Mr. Bong, stayed up to check me in. The place is great. Last time I was there I got a single room for around 20 USD a night. Then there's plenty of street food nearby so you can save.

Ive been to Bong house 4 times now. I cant believe it took me this long to write a review. In all my 4 times, this hostel has never disappointed. Hope to be back there soon!

Very affordable hostel at a place with very affordable street food

The place was just close to the subway station. There are lots of stores near the place . You cant be bored . But the place is not noisy place . We really enjoyed our stay at this place. 
Nice place to stay. Very nice and clean. Mr. Bong was so very good. The toilets are clean and so are the beds.Their facilities are all complete. You can easily relax yourself. The beds are comfortable and the balankets are all clean and nice... They dont use big towels which are foreigners are more confortable. Everything is fine and good. The toilet and all facilities are so nice. Just be friendly to everyone in the room and in the house. Free coffee . Free bread every morning. 안녕하세요 먼저 한국어로 쓸 겁니다. 저는 홍콩에서 온 가이라고 합니다. 제가 성균관대에 합격하고 1월 달말에 한국와서 일찍 대학생활을 준비하려구요. 장기 사는 집을 아직 못 찾아서 예상 1개월동안 봉하우스에 있다가 새집으로 들어가기로 했습니다. 그래서 봉하우스에 3월초까지 있었습니다. 봉하우스가 바로 성균관대 옆에 있어가지구 여길 선택했습니다. 제가 제일 싼 도미트리방에 살았어요. 예상보다 다른 사람들이랑 잘 맞고 서로 조용히 해주고 밤에 잘 때도 너무 좋았어요. 가끔 간단하게 뭐 어느 사람이여 왜 한국에 왔는지 등등 다 얘기하구요. 그러니까 아주 기뻤던 시간이었습니다. 제가 한국어 좀 할 수 있으니까 사장님과 스테프분들이랑 정이 많이 들었습니다. 지금 이미 게스트하우스에서 나왔는데 아주 찾아가서 점심을 같이 먹으려구요. 정말 친절하고 훈훈합니다. 그래서 혼자 오신분들이 외롭지 않을 겁니다~^^ 적극추천이에요!

They have very friendly staff, the owner is very nice. Location is also very good. They have everything in the guesthouse. I will definitely book again to this guesthouse once i go back in Seoul on November.

Didnt actually stay here because they only offer dorms. Used the hostel's bike rental facility.
Very friendly staff (the manager "liam" walked us to the nearest atm). Bikes in really good condition. They booked us a super guide "Vans".

One thing we liked was that Mr. Bong was very accommodating and kind. However, the girl staff was really rude and unaccommodating. I don't know if she was just being racist or plain rude. She seems unhappy with her job. Technically, it has a great location. It's near convenience stores, food stalls, and it's a walking distance from the subway. Think we just got lucky because we happened to reserve a family room that's good for 5 people and we had our own bathroom, kitchenette and washing area (which we never used). Although their heater didn't work, I think we just got what we paid for. They also need to improve on cleanliness as we found a little cockroach inside our room.

Could have been great if not for that rude front desk staff from Spain

Stayed for only one night. Twin room, when I reserved I didn’t know that it was futons :D so it was quite surprising. You have to turn on the heating system so you can have access to hot water. It’s average accommodation and good price.

Great location and helpful staff

This place is just average by any means .The location is good but whats better  is the staff and the front-desk. I landed up at this place quite late in the night and had lost my cell phone in Osaka before landing here . I got excellent support from the manger at the front desk who is Indian .He helped me with every little detail about the city and helped me in connecting back home .

I stayed at Bong house again this year, the last time I spent a month here and I liked it so I didn't bother to look anywhere else. It's a great location and there's always a bunch of nice people staying, it's so easy to meet people here, everyone is hanging out in the lounge and is really friendly. I got a lot of great information to help me on my onward travel.  Facilities: bathrooms are clean, the whole hostel is hoovered every day, the rooms are cosy and warm. There is a kitchen, it's very small (but has a big fridge!) but it has everything you need and is kept spotless so is pleasant to use, though most people seemed to eat out. You can leave your luggage in reception safely (they have the camera on it). Everyone respected the quiet time at night, which was great. Reception were really helpful and they were mostly travellers, but long stayers in Seoul so they were able to help with most queries about the city. Mr Bong himself isn't around much but when he is he's always friendly and funny and helpful. Thanks Mr Bong!
