The hotel is hidden in a backstreet. I'd not call it a hotel but an BnB since there are only few rooms in the hotel and the receptionists were the cooks themselves, and there was ONE person waiting for me since I checked in late and disappeared right after I entered my room - not sure if there was anyone maintaining the hotel 24/7.

The breakfast is made-to-order, and i loved the yogurt which was topped with honey.

Room: clean and basic, bright enough to work; there is an open "wardrobe".

hidden but simplistic

I stayed there for one night, and I wish I could have stayed longer. I tried several hotels in Seoul, and I have to say the win is the best value for money that I've seen so far.
Room was nicely decorated (no IKEA furniture), very quiet (no noise from the street). 
I read about people complaining about breakfast, but mine was more than fine!
Staff speaks very good English (which is RARE in Seoul), much better than staff in higher-end hotels I have tried.

Location is perfect: from the Airport, it takes only 1 hour to get there. Hongdae is minutes away as well.

I will definitely go there again !!

Excellent value for money

Great location for exploring the City and close to hundreds of yummy little korean restaurants. The carpet in the room was filthy and the centrally located computer did not work. The roof top restaurant is not there. Unfortunately the non smoking policy is not enforced and we were woken by guests smoking in the corridor. Very small bathroom with a shower over the bath and no room to put down toiletteries. Breakfast of sausage and eggs was terrible and we only got yoghurt once. On the last day we waited an hour for breakfast as one guy is doing everything and he had forgotten to tell us that on weekends breakfast is not until 9.30am. He had great knowledge of english. The front desk is only manned from 8.30am to 5.30 pm which is a bit disconcerting. We would not be staying there again nor recommend it to our friends.

Small and central

For us The Win whas overall an excellent clean and cozy base to explore the city for a long weekend. Don't expect an hotel this is more like a homestay. The street is very quite but walking distance from planty of restaurants and bars and just next to line 2 Hapjeong Metro Station, so very convenient during the day by moving around by Metro.

Rooms are very clean, bright and quite, ideal to rest after a long day. 

Breakfast has a set menu that can be improved but overall what enough to kick off the day. The stuff very friendly and speak perfect English but don't expect them to be there at all time.

The owner helped us to buy the best quality Ginseng and upon departure I left my overseas money in the safer that was returned to me by mail once I returned back home to China, extremely kind and helpful stuff I have to say.

We would return to this hotel again no doubt about it.

Excellent stay

Its a pretty little B&B decorated like a vintage doll house. 

Room are tiny but very clean. 

Good location near hapjeong station exit no 2. 
Breakfast egg and sausage was terrible, but they provided freshly squeezed apple juice with yummy home made jam and yoghurt.

Try Mapo dumpling around the corner. Its a small chain that serves very good food with extremely reasonable price! The short ribs dumpling was to die for!!

There is nothing around The Win. Go to Hongik University on the weekend, they have row of shops that open till 2 am and the area is very happening.

If you are going and coming from the Airport, the shuttle stop right next to the train station, which is 2 mins walk from the hotel.

Staffs are helpful, they are happy to help with the luggage to the shuttle station.
