It would be really hard not to like this cute little pension. The owners are delightful - really friendly and always willing to help - e.g. offering us a lift to the bus stop with our suitcases. The rooms are very comfortable - we had one with a spa bath and we certainly made use of it. Each unit has either a little patio area or a balcony with a portable BBQ and seating. It was a bit cold for us to make use of, but others were. The units have a small kitchen area with a fridge freezer, microwave, hob, and utensils. The pension is set within a small village area on the outskirts of Gyengju and ideally you'd have a car - although we made do with buses which stopped a 5 to 10 minute walk away depending on where you were heading. The village itself is mainly guesthouses and there are plenty of coffee and cake shops with food shopping available about a 10 minute walk away. There's also a selection of food items to purchase at the pension reception / cafe area - beer and cold drinks, coffee, ice cream, canned goods etc. I'd love to return in the middle of summer - although I assume it would be very busy.

great getaway

I've never come across an accommodation called a "pension" before, however when we got there we found it was like a serviced apartment.  They have a small kitchen, jacuzzi, 2 bedrooms and a living space.  

It was comfortable to sleep in (the bedrooms were spacious) however it was lacking a couch.  They had sitting space with 2 benches (along a dining table) and 4 little leather stools in the living room.  A part from that it was very comfortable! We didn't spend much time there anyway so it didnt bother us much.

The location is good. It isn't in the city centre which is good because the tourist attractions/activities are not there anyway.  Everything was accessible by bus or a short taxi ride. 

The staff didn't speak much english but they were very nice and helpful.

The jacuzzi was a relaxing touch but it is 20,000 won to use - which divided by all the household members wasn't a big deal for us.  You just have to go to the lobby to ask them to get it started.

A very comfortable stay and we would stay again. p.s. it looks beautiful at night.

Cute little pension!

This places is really good spot to rest, they have a small store with food, you can use the bikes to go around, is a really quiet and cozy place, Koreans said this is a Pension, Room was big and you can make BBQs outside, totally love this Place :D

Acogedor(Cozy)

A nice Little hotel in Kora. A little far from Seoul but friendly staff. English is very limited. Great thing about the rooms, each room has it's own Jacuzzi and little BBQ. No public transport nearby but main town about 4.3 km away so you can walk. The hotel does have some bicycles if you want to go for a ride. It is about a 5.5 hour bus drive from Seoul town centre.

Really nice little hotel

Very nice and welcoming, Roki the dog in the courtyard was cute. Great selection of snacks in the lobby, the provided laundry service free of charge. Couldnt let the jacuzzi work but was freezing outside anyway. Unfortunately the washroom was cold, not heating on it. Overall great experience for a quick and affordable experience. 

Romantic studio

One of my favorite staying was this picturesque and very charming pension located in Gyeongju! The rooms were spacious with beautiful interiors and we had a jacuzzi. There was definitely an attention to details which overall gave a very romantic impression. I only wished we stayed longer than one night so that we could have really enjoyed this accommodation to the fullest!
