Having enjoyed eating Iberico Jamon many times but wondering why there was such a difference in price decided to find out why.
Selected La Posadas in Alajar after reading reading numerous reviews.
We were not disappointed, everything about the place was excellent. Rooms, food, location and hosts Angel and Lucy.

Rural retreat during visit to Jabugo Area

This is the second time I have stayed here. I was part of a group, some of whom had been up to four times. There is nothing to fault. Location ideal, clean, comfortable, everything excellent. The owners are charming, and very helpful on where to walk, and eat. Will definitely visit again.

Everything you want

My boyfriend and I spent 5 days here in September. it was one of our better decisions. Angel and his wife run a sumptuous lovely little b and b that is also environmentally conscious. Waking up in the morning to a balcony overlooking verdant hills and following the nose to fresh coffee and a delicious breakfast was a great way to start the day. We loved learning more about the region from a local, hiking its paths and devouring the jamon of the area. It is a charming village and a culinary delight!

A tasty visit!

This friendly family-run hotel is located in Alajar; a very pretty village in the rolling hills of the Sierra Morena. Being located in a National Park means that this area is unspoiled; the local rural economy is based on pigs, bulls, cork oak and chestnuts. Lucy and Angel are really helpful when it comes to choosing walks in the area, many of which can be enjoyed directly from the village. There are plenty of great bars and restaurants in the village so no need to stray very far in the evening. All in all this was a great short stay before moving on to explore Seville which is only an hour and a half away.

A friendly local hotel in beautiful countryside

Public parking lot is 300m away - a rural spot where You park between the trees. Only the inhibitans of the village are allowed to park in the narrow streets. I dropped my stuff at the hotel and drove back to the parking lot.
The info I received at the front desk was adequate.
I was upgraded to a larger room, which was nice, since there were only just about room for my big suitcase here. I wonder how it would have been in a smaller room....?
Wifi and air conditioning was fine and the bed ok. Bathroom ok, but You need to let the water run a couple of minutes to get hot was - as informed at the front desk.
The tiny balcony had not been cleaned as it was full of birds s h i t and not appealing to use despite there was a little chair.
Now and then there is quite a lot of noise from the outside since the hotel is situated in one of the main roads in the village and You will also have the pleasure of listening to the nearby bells of the church.
Short walk to small store, bars and restaurants.
