I would like to let others know i have already booked next year at SIMPLY THE BEST HOTEL IN BENALMADENA..., THE MAC PUERTO MARINA HOTEl BENALMADENA COSTA-DEL-SOL, everything  u could want or need is here ,u must read others reviewsThis time i booked with Jet-2 direct  & saved over £1000 for me and my best mate ,cutting out the  T.A.  im over the moon,but i advise others if ur thinking of going to this amazing hotel with amazing and The  lovliest & kindest staff i have ever met u need to book early for through-out the year , I WOULDN'T MISS OUT ON THIS HOTEL AS I KNOW WHAT AWAITS ME ON MY  ARRIVAL

The apartment has outstanding views but this does not make up for the outdated ,dirty kitchen,and bathrooms.We stayed for 3 nights and was glad to get out of it.All the reviews are correct.Very expensive and not worth it.We would not have paid this amount in a 5 * hotel (£750 for 3 nights) Also extras for lousy TV stations and wifi as long as we were in the back bedroom!!!! Not what we expected and not what we are used to.Shame on you for renting this out.....Shame on booking.com for allowing this on your site.

Lovely owner but horrendous stay

The advert for this apartment is misleading. It sounded like a beach club style apartment within a resort. It was an apartment in a busy location which was noisy all day with a busy office next door and bars and clubs at night.
The sofa bed was unusable and the sofa was so uncomfortable. Not only was it over priced you only find out when you get there that you have to pay even more for wifi or the TV.
Not recommended.

Terrible

We chose this place to stay thinking it was in a beach club complex of apartments in the marina in Benalmadena. The description on Booking.com is very misleading. The taxi could not find it! Eventually the taxi driver spoke to the owner in Spanish and he asked him to drop us off at Kaleidos bar in the marina and someone would collect us. We sat for a while with our luggage waiting to be collected by a car. Eventually a guy came and said it would be an hour and half before we could check in as it needed cleaning. They wanted it to be perfect for us.
The advert made it appear to be a high end luxury apartment.
After an hour we rang again as it was late and we were tired. The guy returned and helped with the cases saying it was just around the corner. I thought he meant the car to take us to the beach club. But no it was the apartment. Our hearts sank as we had to climb stairs to an apartment on the street opposite the recycling bins and above the nightclub with a business next door.
The apartment was still being cleaned. It was not a luxury apartment. We paid £609 for 6 nights!
The bed was 4 ft x 4in and we could not turn over!
The noise from the street where the bedroom was is horrendous. I didnot sleep for the entire stay.
The bars emptied their bottle bins at midnight. The noise was incredible. Then people made alot of noise as they left the bars and walked up the road to the hotels.The staff from the bars then left banging car doors and talking loudly under the window until 4 am some times.
 Then at 5.30am street cleaners arrived to jetwash the pavements followed by road sweepers!
Then staff to the business next door started to arrive slamming doors and talking loudly throughout the day.
The sofa bed was not usable due to an thin mattress and a bar through the centre. The other 2 seater sofa was very uncomfortable to sit on. The only other chairs were dining chairs or plastic outside chairs on the balcony.
The bath had no slip mat for the shower and the other shower was just a dribble and unusable.
The kitchen was so tiny only 1 person could be in it at a time and you had to stand up the corner if the door was open.
There were plastic flower arrangements on every table so you had to move them all out of the way to use the tables.
The balcony was cold as its position is mainly in shade and the people from the business spend alot of time on their balcony and you cannot hear yourself thinkl.
Also at the bottom of the stairs there is an iron gate which is open to the street so if someone talks at the bottom and sits on the step you feel as if they're in the apartment with you as the sound just travels up the stairs.
The windows are only single glazed which add to the noise level.
The owner told us we had thousands of tv channels to choose from. That was true if you spoke 20 languages! Unfortunately the only English channel was a news channel! Unless you paid 5 euros a day! We also paid 4 euros a day for the wifi.I was shocked when he asked for this as the cost of the apartment was expensive for what it was.
The owner and his mother were very pleasant and stressed the importance of giving them a very good review. Despite them being pleasant we just cannot do that as it was awful. We cannot recommend this apartment due to all these issues. At the end of our stay we just wanted to leave with no fuss.
