We spent wonderful 2 weeks in Lanzarote, staying in Famara and taking the surf course at Clandestino surf adventure and it turned out, we couldn't make a better decision! I d love to thank Natalie and Jon, they are true professionals and always friendly and helpful, putting the customers safety first. Surfing was awesome, under Jon s guidance we managed to improve our technic and had lots of fun too! Very helpfull were also the explanations and tips about the beach and weather conditions! I also appreciated that we had lunch after surfing at the surf school, because with the windy weather (as we were there january/february) I can t imagine to stay 1hour at the beach in wet wetsuit and going to water again with full stomach (as the other schools do). There s nice chill out zone at school, where you can eat the lunch after lessons, have a coffee or tea. There is a possibility to arrange yoga lessons too.
As a conclusion, I must say, that Clandestino has my best recommendation and we ll definitely come back to Lanzarote and we ll definitely come back to Clandestino Surf Adventure! Can t wait to go surfing again!

I surf since 4 years and I have been in many surfcamps: during the three weeks I spent in Famara I really felt like hanging out with good old friends!

Awesome

I had a very good time at Clandestino's surfcamp in Lanzarote. The surflessons (with video-recordings) we're very very good. The low-cost surfcamp offers amazing good value for money. 
There are different types of accomodation and I stayed in the surfhouse next to the surfshop. Simple, but clean. 
Famara is small hippie villaga with a relaxed vibe and the surfspot is pretty amazing! 
On a day off from surfing it's nice to make a roadtrip and discover more of he beautiful island Lanzarote. 

I can't wait to come back again! <3

Very good surflessons in Famara

We stayed 3 nights at the spacious surf Villa of Clandestino Surf Adventures. The Villa is located close to the beautiful long beach and the surfing spots, spotless clean and equipped with everything you need. The five double rooms give you privacy, the shared kitchen and the living room are great meeting places with the other guests. A large roof top terrace is great for having breakfast with ocean view. Jon & Nathalie are lovely, very helpful hosts that will provide you with every information you need about the area (they speak Spanish, English, German and Italian!). Supermarkets, restaurants and surfshops are only a minute walk away from the Villa. Caleta de Famara is a charming and nice village not only for surfers but for everyone who is looking for a base from where to explore the island by foot, bike or car.

Great place to stay in Caleta de Famara

I booked a holiday via ebookers paying for a flight and a 1 bedroom apartment or studio. But when I arrived I was brought instead to a 5 bedroom villa that I had to share with about 4 other people. I travel solo and I was not entirely happy at being asked to share with others, but agreed to give it a try. A day or two later I asked to change and was told it was not possible.

Famara is a laid back part of Lanzarote and surf was good. Clandestino offer good surf instruction. You can also take lessons or just rent a board and wetsuit from one of the many such places along the main street..

Clandestino caters very well to a mainly German clientele of groups, families and couples. 
The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Overall I had a good stay, but on my last day I was asked for €1 to print out my boarding pass - (a German couple was not charged for the same the day before). Because of that disappointing gesture and not getting the accomodation I paid for I will not be returning to stay with Clandestino. 

Clandestino is great for groups and families, but if you are a solo traveller I suggest you try elsewhere.

Good Surf, but not the solo trip I paid for..

I cannot recommend your school to anyone.  The low cost surf camp might be good qualité/prix for a week at 184 euros, but the cost of my five days with group lesson (30 x 5 =150 euros) and private accommodation (45 x 5 = 225 euros), so 375 euros was outrageously overpriced. I really feel like you ripped me off. The instruction was minimal, the boards and wetsuits were very used, the cars you drive to and from the beach are not safe and the room was very rustic, with a mold infested shared bathroom. So disappointing.
