Very friendly reception staff, always smiled and happy to help with straightforward information.. The pitches are well maintained, level, an adequate size, and very well shaded. It's been here a while so things are a bit care worn, but nothing to put a reasonable person off. Had booked for two nights and then stayed for five. It is very child friendly, with activities planned for them. It's not for you if you want peace and quiet. The showers, toilets and the washroom are kept clean, there was never a que as they are plentiful. Hot water is plentiful and the stalls are a good size The beach is just 20 metres from the entrance gate, it is a narrow pebble beach near the campsite with some sand at the waters edge, the sandier parts are not too far away. The swimming pool is quite large (didn't try it), I did find the bar/restuarant staff offish unfortunately and it was not entirely clear when meals could be ordered or what the opening times were. There was a disco playing which could be off putting for some, if so don't choose a pitch near the pool. All in all a great place to roll up and relax. Finding it is not simple. It is very much on the Eastern edge of the town so do not go into the town centre.

Camping Didota is a wonderful campsite with helpful friendly staff.The campsite is very clean and well maintained.The bar and restaurant are more than adequate and the hair dresser a hidden treasure.We will always return here whenever possible

lovely campsite

This site is great for a beach holiday, we had the pitch right by the gate to the sands which was good, unfortunately we couldn’t find a fresh water tap that could connect to the camper so ended up carting canisters of water back to manually fill up (75 litres is a hell of a lot!)
We did find a room that had a tv in to watch the Formula One - they call it a cinema room! NO!
If you turn right from the site and turn left about 200 yards on the right is a right hand turning with a little shop and a couple of bars which are cheap and serve decent beer.
If we were in the area again we would consider it an option.

Good beach site

Good site with spacious pitches on gravel and plenty of amenities (showers, toilets, washing up area). Well located for promenade and local large supermarkets. Refurbished restaurant on site which looks like will be good when finished. Pool was also being refurbished but again looks good. 
Just a shame they had to double the prices for the Easter weekend but then it was still full so didn’t seem to put anyone off!!

we revisited Camping Didota 4 years after our first visit. The camp is the same except that the shower block has had a facelift. The reception staff are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble. Marina D'or is just up the road which is a good place to visit especially at night as it is all lit up.
Be warned pitches are tight to get onto. The camp is right on the beach but it is a very stoney one.
There is free wifi on site but it can be unpredictable but mostly it is fine. Free Spanish classes and exercise classes are available etc. The restaurant is on site and seems very popular.
With a rate of at €15 a night (€12.85 a night if you book 7 nights +) it is good value for money. You are allowed 4kw of electric per day after that it is charged at 39 cents per kw.

Re visit 4 years later

Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Showers were hot and clean. 
However there is a general air of poor maintenance. Roads were cracked and weed infested. 
Generally scruffy and shabby. 
Restaurant was OK.

Disappointing

A faded, dirty tired and awful place. Chicken and lamb bones discarded on the pitch and flies everywhere.  Gates to the beach didnt work. Beach is narrow and steep with sharp stones. Pitch by a filthy wall that looked like an internment camp. Overhead sun blinds are tatty old pieces of tarpaulin.  Photographs on website are old, the front gate has no visible lettering any more. Pitches are untidy, weedy and unkempt. Broken concrete, broken tiles, paint faded to non existence. Nature reserve next door looks more like the local tip. High rise holiday apartments next door and absolutely nothing to occupy your time. Booked for a week, stayed one night. Toilets nice and clean though. Some of the "seasonal" pitches looked like a refugee camp. 
Until some time and effort is put into rectifying the appalling conditions i would avoid this place. Do not be fooled by the website. 

Avoid this place.

We left after one night since guests were letting their big dogs loose on the camping. I asked to leash the dog and the guests refused. Went to the reception twice, the guests did not listen to the people from the reception eiher. We booked for 2 nights but left after one night. We got our money back for one night but the owner did not do anything about the dogs. 

My son was playing with his car and one of the dogs barked ar him  and came at him. 

The dogs were as tall as my 5 year old twins. It is a german shepherd and another one type rottweiler. If the dogs would have bitten my kids in the face, who would have been responsible for that? In fact it doesn’t matter. What matters is that the camping owner did nothing and did not go to the guests to tell them it is unacceptable to unleash the dogs. The camping owner did nothing. The receptionist called the camping owner but she did not bother to come and do anything about it. 

Als indoor swimming pool was closed, which was not said to us when we checked in. 

Very disappointed in this camping and its owner. For your own safety do not go here with kids. We left because we felt unsafe. I would never forgive myself if my child would have been bitten and I would not have tried to avoid it.
