We visited during February half term. It’s not the first time we have been as we came in December 2021. We had a fantastic holiday both times. The food was very good but not as good as at Christmas time. The entertainment team were amazing, the shows and the team members were so engaging and really good fun! A fabulous holiday again we would definitely come back, we love you Tania!! ❤️😘😘😘xxx

Excellent holiday

Fantastic holiday to Gran Canaria, 7 nights and 3rd visit to Dunas which did not disappoint. Great accommodation and atmosphere for a family within young kids, ours our 11 & 6 and we came with friends with children 8 & 6. The engagement and energy from the whole entertainment team was brilliant, super skilled in many ways and we thoroughly enjoyed their shows, massive thanks to Tania only been there 4 weeks and made us all feel welcome, adults and children alike! 

Family fun

We have been coming to Dunas Suites & Villas three times over the last 10 years. 
It is a great option for families as the villa style accommodation works well (we have had both 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom villas/suites), 1 bedroom was fine when we had a toddler but with two kids the extra bedroom really makes it easier without the need for making the bed in the lounge.
This year the entertainment team were amazing (they always have been but this year they were the best), we cannot fault their enthusiasm, professionalism and overall friendliness. Tania in particular was so engaging with our children and adults too! We hope to go back for a fourth visit. Bravo Dunas!

Super holiday,

We had a super holiday, very friendly staff always helpful. accommodation super clean. Within walking distance of beach and the dunes and promenade of Meloneras. Bus stop for trips at 500 metres

Great for family holidays with children. 
Would definitely recommend. 
Some families we met had returned 3rd or 4th time and that’s no surprise…

Polite, kind and hardworking staff- whether at reception, bar, cleaners, animation/entertainment team, lifeguards by the pool, literally everyone.. A-Z! 
Lovely kids mini disco to entertain little kids.  
High quality evening shows.
Warm pools for every age. 
On an average good quality food and plenty of choices in restaurant and pool bar (fully worth ‘all inclusive’ board) 
All villas and suits on ground floor and lifts and ramp present so wheelchair friendly.

Santa visit on a bike!
Christmas presents-age appropriate-for ALL the children who participated (for free ofcourse) 
Free popcorn hot dog and drinks etc for those waiting in the long queue.

Another highlight-evening Grinchmas show- superb performances! One would perhaps normally pay atleast £50 per person to watch that quality show! 

Suggestions- 
?Dunita teddy gift fir all kids visiting and interested? 

?mosquito repellants in every room! (My arm was double the size with mosquito bite as I am also allergic to them…it was itchy and uncomfortable for about good 24 hours!) 

?Bump up room cleanliness (not at par on arrival but all good after double cleaning). Unpolished marble perhaps gives more dirty look I guess (Shower was good jet, nice and warm :) 

Memorable Christmas away from home! Spectacular Christmas dinner and show!! 

On our second stay at this beautiful hotel we had electrical problems in our room on several occasions which could have ruined our holiday but we asked to speak to the Hotel Manager who was very helpful and listened to our complaint in his office. He introduced us to his public relations man, Ronaldo, who we knew from our previous visit and he made sure that all our problems were resolved and was in contact with us until our holiday was over. This involvement of the staff is what makes the difference and why we will return to this hotel in the future.
The food was very good as always, what we liked most was the breakfast. The cleanliness of the room was above standard for this category of hotel. Great entertainment with a good selection of pool and evening activities. Fantastic!

Difficult beginning but...

This was visit number four to the Suites and Villas - and replaced a cancelled visit from Christmas '20.  I was not to be disappointed!
The site appears to be under new directorship; there is a slight shift in operational approach and mechanics.  I am guessing that Covid decimated the staffing, etc., and the operation is in post-pandemic recovery, and doing very well at it.
I arrived the weekend after the heavy rain the island had over 2 days.  The results were manifest around the locality, but the only really noticeable issue at S&V was that the indoor bar had been closed to all except access to the counter.  This meant that the kids club was held poolside, and at the pool bar in the evenings - which went well, I think, though was obviously harder for the Animacion Team which had no "back stage" to work from.  Anyway; they did a suprb job, and the kids of all ages seemed to muck in and enjoy it.  After a few days, the damage to the ceiling in the bar was repaired, and normality restored, meaning that access was there for the pool table and other games, as well as indoor seating ( needed on the following day when it rained just in time for the evening entertainment!).
There are now 2 shifts for the evening meal, and you need to carry your Guest Card until all the staff get to know you to get in!  Check on arrival for your set time, and you can change it on request if yours is too early/late.  Families tend toward the early time to give access to the later kids entertainment, which starts at 8pm.
On this visit, the top pool was closed as the surrounding bungalows are being refurbished.  There is obviously some investment going on, which is good, and the site is generally being upgraded.  There will come a time when the main pool/public areas needs attention - that could prove awkward...
Food is generally good - especially given the number of people the site caters for, umpteen times a day, and breakfast stretches as far as the eye can see.  I can't understand how people cannot find anything they like - with some 40 dishes available in the evening, it can't stretch the imagination too far surely...  The themed evenings are good too; increasing the variety.  I was there for two weeks, and did not tire of the menu offered.  There is much available for adults and kids alike.  In the restaurant they really MUST change the coffee machines!  Please take note - they are frustratingly slow.  And, on a safety note, please move the bulk coffee/hot water facilities out of the reach of young children; I did intervene when one little boy was about to try and fill a glass with what he assumed was water - it was, but very hot...
My suite was very comfortable, and kept scrupulously clean and well serviced.  I was located right on the corner of the main junction between the upper and lower sites; which meant that - as I enjoyed my usual G&T "en terrasse" in the evenings, I met a lot of very nice folk as they wandered by.  It didn't feel at all intrusive, and I was never disturbed by the location.
I had a late arrival ( midnight ) so welcomed the cold buffet offered on arrival, before collapsing in bed.  My departure was not until 7pm, so I requested and got a late vacating of the room.  My only minor niggle is that I feel it should be possible to reserve this on arrival ( or booking ) rather than reserving/confirming on the day of departure, as this can change your plans.  Little thing; but something I think others would appreciate, and the hotel do receive payment for it.
All in all, I did enjoy this visit again.  I met some lovely people, and the staff ( especially the dining/bar staff ) were very polite, accommodating and friendly.
I will definitely return, and can recommend this site without fear.

Fourth visit a success

Beautiful, spacious resort with very nice appartments. The food is excellent with a lot of choice. Nice swimmingpools. Resort is clean. Smoking is only allowed in dedicated areas which is very pleasant for non-smokers. A 10 minute walk brngs you to the beach and boulevard with shops and restaurants. 

Great resort, good food

Everything is perfect. Good service given by everybody of the personnel. Stunning food. Nice houses with complete inventory. Excellent beds. Daily cleaning of the house/room and daily clean towels. Pool is clean. Easy car rental. Nothing negative.

Very good!

This is a lovely hotel with spacious rooms and gardens throughout the complex. The pools are great and we always managed to get sunbeds at one of the many pools. The restaurant and pool bar are brilliant, offering a different cuisine each evening.

One of the biggest highlights for me was the amazing staff who were all so welcoming and helpful. The Animacion team were brilliant, especially Alberto and Denise, with a mixture of day and evening activities for all the family.
