If you’re looking for a modern pool with gym and jacuzzi do not come here. 
If , on the other hand you enjoy the warmth of a beautiful, cosy , perfectly maintained and managed hotel Come here. It’s obvious from the moment you enter that this place is operated as a business but with “TLC”
I’ve read some of the less complimentary opinions and quite frankly don’t understand where they are coming from!- hence I added a couple of photos to demonstrate that the breakfast also far exceeds reasonable expectations- even the orange juice was freshly squeezed 😜

Cosy - romantic - warm 

My partner and I spent two nights at the hotel in order to attend a wedding in Pedraza.  The town is of course a notably beautiful place, so the location cannot be faulted.  The hotel presented well throughout with high standards and clearly a great deal of thought had gone into the décor.  Indeed, there was certainly no sign of the anonymity of a chain hotel, but equally the décor was done very professionally.

Breakfast was nice, with not a huge choice, but nonetheless a good one.  In the bookshelf of the reception area are some very interesting copies of Elle magazine from the 1960s and 1970s, which were fascinating to leaf through!

Very Pleasant

Stayed for 6 days in a classy room facing the mainstreet with a lovely balcony and beautiful view. Pedraza is a quiet and very small medieval village with only a few hundred inhabitants.

The hotel is well maintained, has a charming lobby and very little staff running the hotel. As long as you ask things friendly they are very willing to help you out. Rooms differ a lot in size and decor but I was happy with my smaller room.

Foodwise I wish they made more use of fresh ingredients instead of cheaper canned products. I had breakfast, lunch and dinner during my business trip and the food indeed was very variable.

Breakfast buffet was a lot about unhealthy choices and the cheapest yoghurt next to some fruits whereas lunch en dinner had more healthy options, lovely salads, great desserts and good soups. 

Fried products were sometimes really too fat so overall I am sure the food can be improved. Certain meat dishes were excellent I have to say so it all came down to making the right choices. Fresh products in general would improve things a lot!

I would definitely come back even though the food wasn't always great because of the beautiful surroundings, memorable nights at the hotelbar and the possibility to completely disconnect in this lovely town and its beautiful surroundings.

Beautiful location, lovely rooms and peaceful.

We have known the hotel for years but never stayed there. However, we decided after a long, lamb lunch we would it would be advisable to spend the night in Pedraza. We had a room 103 at 120 euros. A lovely room with a huge bed but could hear every word and scream from the family staying in room 102.

Lovely hotel but with bad sound proofing

The hotel is very average, though at these prices probably reasonable value. The food is very variable, some really great and some bland and uninteresting. The chef made a great effort to provide gluten free bread for each meal which was appreciated.  The conference that I was attending there was marred by the constant smell of cigarette smoke caused by hotel staff smoking in the entrance area and the smoke being blown into the hotel. I politely told the waiter (who turned out to be the owner) of this problem but he didn't take on board this reasonable feedback as it continued throughout the time I was there. However the worst was the safety arrangements. Plans on the back of each bedroom door was a great idea but in the case of my bedroom, (and I suspect others) the map showed the fire evacuation route going the wrong way and directing guests to a dead end.  I told the hotel owner but he was uninterested and insisted that it was correct, then he told me that one could go either way which was patently untrue.  If this is the standard of safety at this hotel, then its simply unsafe to stay there.  Wise to check the exit route wherever you stay, but when the information is just plain wrong then this makes a mockery of providing any information at all.

Disappointing, unnecessarily so, as the building is lovely and could have been so much nicer.
