Just the one night here having arrived in Santander on Brittany Ferries Pont Aven ninety minutes late. Three people on two motorcycles hoping to get to Lekietio in time for a drink and a bite to eat. Dream on! 
The weather was atrocious and progress was slow but we contacted the Hotel Metrokua and were assured the manager would be waiting for us. On arrival at 01:30 after an epic ride, sure enough, we were marshalled into the covered and secure parking we had been promised. No biker could ask for more!
The rooms were good, in great condition and we all had a good nights sleep. 
Breakfast was exactly what you would expect in a Spanish hotel, delicious and lots of it.
All in all the experience was very good.

First stop on the way to Béziers 

Small and cozy family hotel on the beach only 15 mins walk distance to Lekeitio town for dining/night life/shopping. When no festival in the town, it´s very quiet place to hear ocean/waves during the night.  Room with the beach view was simply designed but very comfortable with an access to the terrace. Private bathroom has spacious shower and bidet. Room was very clean with daily changed towels.Room has small fridge but no aicon or fan (it wasn´t needed but better ask for mobile aircon in advance as hey have few. If travel with friend, confirm separate beds in advance as well, as there are only two rooms available, rest is double bed. Breakfast for 6euro per person was very good, still warm baked croissants and baguettes, variety of fruits and fresh orange juice and good coffee/tea as of your choice.  Wifi was OK. At the bar served tasty sandwiches/ Spanish refreshments  during the day. Free parking 20 meters from he hotel. Friendly staff ready to help, no upfront payment needed. Easy going, no problem to take drinks / food from the bar to the terrace.

I would lcome back for its locatio and overall spirit.

great location, stones throw from surf beach,smallish cabin style room opposite beach above rec/bar area on a loverly terrace over looking sea. sounds great ! well it was such a chilled location at the end of a busy season for them. not much to say about room ,clean ,cumfy, seaside themed . bar down stairs was welcoming and would try there best to please. staff very friendly ,  Isabel we love you x. break fast basic but for the cost no complaints , tortilla yummy. nice walk to the little fishy village is good, few bars and restos , just check out the fish resto prim .  we loved  this beach tide in and tide out.  we would defo see lsabel and her team again at the Metrokuo .And thanks for ordering the great weather fabos all round.

Toss up between here and the Hotel Zubieta which is more grand but away from the beach. Gambled on good weather despite it being October (reinforced by the removal of the beach showers by the corpy during our stay).
Turned out to be the right choice.
Great beachside hotel with cheerful staff and not far from the town which is accessible during low tide along the beach. Even using the road plus wheelie cases is only 15 mins. Any substantial luggage I would recommend a taxi from the bus station.
Breakfast got a bit boring but I guess you could go into town for a better choice. 2 other beach bars serving food during the day but check out closing times as they are a bit unpredictable.
There are some interesting photos - my favourite is the school photo with nun including a very naughty boy aiming a pistol at the photographer.
See if you can spot him.

Great location if the weather is good

The location is great, just opposite the beach. 
However, it is absolutely overprized. The rooms are small, old and very basic, and at least the rooms to the "garden" (yes, it's nice and green there) are dark, clammy and smelly, no view, not even to the "garden". The terrasse to the back you don't dare to use - it's so old and smelly. Yes, you can use the terrasse to the sea, however, it's not very inviting. 
The hotel is in a walking distance to the village, but it takes 30 minutes.
And it's absolutely overprized, you double-pay for the close proximity to the beach

Great location, absolutely overprized

We had planned on a 2 night stay here but once we saw the room, we quickly moved on. To say it was small was an understatement. The bed was barely a double and took up almost the whole room. Two people could not pass each other at either side of the bed. For €100 a night I expect a bit more in the way of comfort. I think you are really paying for the location which is no doubt stunning, but it was not for us. We cancelled and moved to another hotel on the way into town. It wasn’t much more expensive, it also had lovely views but was luxury by comparison.
