Outstanding! The hotel was stunningly beautiful, fresh, clean with huge comfortable beds. The restaurant experience was a dream, immensely good evening meal. Look at the video on the website, it’s an exact representation of what you find here. A true privilege to be a guest here

My daughter and I stayed here while she was looking for a place to live in the fall.  The hotel is very clean and the staff friendly and helpful!  We felt very safe in the area.   We ate at the hotel restaurant and the food was excellent.  I hope to stay here again when visiting.

Situated in the middle of a lovely town and so is a good base to explore.

Magnificent place to stay

Just a one night stay on the way back to Madrid, but very enjoyable. A beautiful 16th century building in the main square, with fine furnishings and artworks dotted around the hotel. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. The on-site spa is more of a hydro-massage, but very invigorating. Very good value for the superior room - with four-poster bed - that we were given

Castle hotel with a warm welcome 

We stopped on the way back from Portugal to France, literally by sticking a pin in the map and mengibar it was. The Hotel is buried within the old town but once there it is literally an Oasis. The service, rooms, detail, comfort, etc, etc, were first class, and for the price paid a veritable bargain.

Okay, the restaurant didn't speak english for dinner which was a bit of a challenge, and apart from the convenience of being a midway stop off, apart from some roman antiquities there is nothing else that would tempt you to stay. That said if you did stay it really is excellent and going that way again I would not hesitate to stop there.

An excellent Hotel

I was looking for a stop at a busy days end for our group between Toledo and Granada and booked 4 rooms here in Mengibar. We were completely surprised by the beautifully spare rooms and the overall level of quality and class  nestled in this quiet agricultural area.
Sonni welcomed us and expertly handled a couple of unexpected room alterations so our clients had all needs meant and beyond.
I somehow overlooked their having a restaurant on the property but phenomenally pleased with presentation, menu variety and service . Indeed the following morning breakfast was a royal feast .

What a superior surprise

I spent 5 nights at this hotel along with a number of other folks on an English Language Immersion Programme.

The location is great, right in the heart of a traditional Spanish town. Plenty of small bars in the area to take a coffee or a beer and just watch the world go by!

The hotel is quite deceptive from the outside, it’s tucked away in the corner of the square but once inside it seems to go on forever and it has some really interesting features with plenty of nooks and crannies to explore. It also has a couple of lovely courtyards – one to the front of the hotel and the other in the middle of the hotel. There is also a roof terrace for a spot of sunbathing.

The staff were really great and looked after us exceptionally well considering the hotel was so busy with weddings etc.

The room was a good size, and the bed was super comfy, I slept pretty well, a great shower too.

I was lucky enough to have some free time and was able to use the spa, it’s quite small but a great place to chill out and relax.

The food and wine were superb and plentiful!

As the hotel is situated in the olive growing region it’s worth a visit to the local olive oil processing plant where they produce Dehesa de Velascos (which can be bought in the hotel).

Great Location!

This hotel is supurb.
The staff are lovely, nothing is too much trouble.
The rooms are large, spotlessly clean and the beds are very comfortable. Huge bathroom and power shower.
The restaurant served first class food for both lunch and evening meals.
There is a spa and The massage I had there was excellent.
We loved our stay and will return.

We stayed a week in the Hotel Palacio, working with Spanish people to help them improve their English. Our room was very spacious with it's own private patio, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom spacious.

The hotel is full of little nooks and crannies with Roman stonework on display everywhere. There are terraces with comfortable seats, and the courtyard is a great place to hang out with friends. We couldn't use the Spa due to Covid but we visited it and it looks nice. It has a room dating back to the 12th century.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was continental style. My only criticism of the food and drink is that they use Nestlé coffee machines and pods which aren't very environmentally friendly. When you have 24 people using the machines every day and most having more than one coffee, that's a lot of used pods every day.

You can buy some of the excellent olive oil produced in the town directly from the hotel.

A gem of an hotel

This hotel is top notch and for a good price too, we had a suite which was all you could wish for. The entire building is delightful and cosy throughout. A Splendid stay but it was only a stop on the way to elsewhere, but we will certainly be back for longer.
