While walking on the Camino (French Way) we arrived in O Cebreiro and contacted Miguel (owner) as arranged by our travel company (Camino Ways).  He arrived in to pick us up without delay.  We had a lovely drive out to  his albergue which he runs with his partner (Angela) in the fabulous farming village of Fonfría. On the way Miguel told us his really interesting story about moving away from farming to starting up his tourism business.  The accommodation is very good; we stayed in separate bedrooms each with its own bathroom.  There was a slight delay with our luggage arriving but both Miguel and Angela were really helpful in contacting the transporter and bring the bags to our rooms when they arrived.  We got a chance to meet up with an eclectic mix of pilgrims from all over the world and in particular we enjoyed having dinner with all these people in the 'palloza'.  Also we must mention the wonderful massage that we had from Michaela which eased our aching legs after our long walk.  Dinner and breakfast were great and in particular we enjoyed the scrambled eggs for breakfast with local cheese and honey - delicious.   Overall a very enjoyable and memorable experience with Miguel and his family.

The staff is the best.... when my ebike gave up the ghost 6 miles short and walking it up a 2 km hill in the cold rain, Miguel the owner came to my rescue with his van. This was a life saver and SO much appreciated, especially after 2 taxis prior basically blew me off and said walk! No kidding!!? This albergue was my favorite for my 1 week Camino from Leon to Santiago de Compostela... VIVA la Camino

Best Albergue in Galicia

Miguel and his wife Lola were incredible hosts from the time of our pick up by Miguel in O Cebreiro to our accommodations in Fonfria.  It was to our advantage they both spoke English, as we were able to learn about the history of their family and business.  What an amazing property!  The Pilgrim dinner was the best which offered local beef and vegetables, along with a delicious Santiago Cake and surprising entertainment, truly a memorable experience!

The most comfortable bed on my camino! The reception was nice and warm. Loved the community style dinner at the Galician structure at the back of the albergue. Food was delicious, and the wine was the albergue's own -- it was good!

Wonderful stay during my camino

What a lovely place for pilgrims to stay. Spacious modern private bedrooms. Nice and warm. It was raining and snowing when we were there. Enough blankets and working heaters. Good pilgrim meals and warm, kind and helpful hosts. We almost stayed another night!!

Albergue A Reboleira Fonfria Spain

This was the highlight of our variety of accommodations over a two week period.  So many positives -  from the friendly reception on a wet dismal day, to the oh so welcoming common area, the boot rack for drying boots, the extremely nice private rooms ( did not stay in bunk area but looked nice), to the amazing dining facility with its large wood stove at the entrance and super friendly serving staff.  On and on. The owner was extremely nice to us, and I suspect is to all who wonder in.

Wonderful surprise

I stayed here 1 night during my path to Santiago. Simple but beautiful place, all utilities you need for a very very low price and probably the best dinner I had during all my vacation in Spain. 5 stars are really not enough..

Best Albergue on the path to Santiago

Great albergue.  Not much to choose from here but this albergue was very good. Our room was spacious with a great bathroom.  There was an area for people to relax and read books.  Staff were very friendly and happy to help.

Great room in well kept albergue

It’s a rustic albergue that offers all the necessary conveniences — cafe/bar, WiFi, private and shared rooms, etc. We also enjoyed a communal dinner with many pilgrims and afterwards there was dancing. Truly a memorable experience!

I went here a couple of years ago while walking the Camino. I loved it so much. I will be going back when I walk again in 2021. The dinner was amazing. The rooms were very comfortable. The owner and her son were both very sweet and kind. Thank you some much. See you again soon. Lucia
