We were lucky enough to find a room for two the same day we arrived in San Sebastián. We stayed in the middle room that does not have any outside windows, but Flor, the owner, gave us a fan. The bed was comfortable and the bathrooms were fairly clean. Flor was a lovely host and recommended us nice places to eat. If you are looking for an authentic and cheap Pensión, this is a good option. Don't expect a 5 star hotel stay, but it is enough if you just need a place to sleep. Furthermore, despite being located in the middle of the old town, it is a very quiet Pensión. 

Good place for a weekend stay

Good points: located right in the thick of the old town, decent beds, good shower (with shower gel and towels available), reasonably priced, good wifi

Bad points: There was no window in my room, some noise from doors closing etc.

Flor (my host) was lovely. Very friendly and helpful. The room was small but OK for just having somewhere to sleep (the lack of window meant I wasn't somewhere you'd want to be sitting around for much time in). Me and my mate were here for the San Sebastian Marathon. There was a long toilet queue on the morning of the race (I was OK as I woke up early but my mate had to wait until we got to the start of the race at the Stadium (less than 30 min walk away). Also something to note: no alcohol allowed

Good location

Cannot understand why there are bad reviews, this little pension is great.  Flor was very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us.  We became very fond of our little chats with her - although she speaks little English we were able to understand and talk with her well.  She is adorable and I would recommend staying here just based on the welcome!!

The pension itself is small but had everything that we needed.  We had the double room and It was clean and cosy.  There are two well equipped bathrooms that were always spotless, flor took pride in looking after them I believe! We never had to queue for a shower and were able to come and go as we pleased.

It's in a fantastic location right in the old town.

You are not paying the price of luxury accommodation so expect that it is just a place to put your head at night (or for a siesta!).  But be assured that it is clean, and comfortable!!

I really don't know why this place gets bad reviews. I arrived early in the morning about 10:30/11am without a booking Flo the lady who runs it was so nice. I speak little or no Spanish. Shame on me really but she made a huge effort to speak English between us we figured it out. She took my map and marked all the major places of interest, made sure I had a card with the address on it marked it on the map and told me to phone if I had any problems. 

I got a clean room for 35 euro in the middle of the old town. Great price. Everything is on your doorstep. The bus and train station is about 7 minutes walk with my pack away in the new part of town. Yes there are only two bathrooms with are both really clean. You gets towels, shampoo, body soap. I did not have to wait once to use the bathroom. Yes the Windows go out on to a tiny tiny court yard but what part of Old Town did these people who reviewed this place miss??? 

It's Spain it's old, rooms are small the people are great! If you want big and new then stay in the new town or don't visit old countries. It's that simple! 

Thanks Flo for taking me in so early. Don't let the bad reviews put you off. If you want to stay in the old town I would definitely stay here.

I stay in 5* hotels but I don't expect 5* hotels in old town Europe. 

Great little place 

This little place gets bad reviews. In my opinion it is unfair! This pension was well-run and traditional. No complaints.
We loved our stay of 4 days. The ladies running the place are great. The rooms are very tiny - yes - but clean and sweet. 
We had one night that was disturbed by noise on the street below --- but that is not unusual when staying in the middle of a Spanish town. 
Recommended as pension accommodation.
