The Posada do Tresvalle.
We booked an overnight stay in this Posada, wo is in the middle of the country side, follow the Gps into the direction of the centre of “Ubiarco” and then continue on this road, the Posada will appear upon your right. The hostess was very friendly and was giving us a warm welcome. The room was on suite, very clean and well decorated we even got fresh flowers in our room, the bathroom has a good ventilation system, and even that you are in the middle of the country side it is only 5 km towards the beach side. The Posada is offering a private car park on the location. In the morning the breakfast is served from 08h30 until 10h30, we were surprised of the breakfast they serve in the Posada, this because we recently passed one night into another Posada in Spain, and there the breakfast was not as half as much and rich as here in the Posada de Tresvalle, and in the other Posada we paid for one night stay almost the double of the price asked in the Posada Tresvalle. We got a super good sleep in this location, and can warmly recommend this Posada, we would give them a big 10 points.

Stopover in the Pousada Tresvalle in Ubiarco.

I have stayed in LOTS of rural hotels in Spain and I can't remember another one that did a better job of exceeding my expectations!  The location was just what we were looking for - a quiet village but conveniently located to Santander, Santillana del Mar, Comillas.... and there was ample (free) private parking.  The house was beautifully maintained both inside and out and the owner made an effort to encourage a tranquil atmosphere. 

Our room was light and airy with 3 windows.  There was a big closet with real wooden hangers (not the kind that only work when they're attached to the rings on the bar).  The bathroom had space for my things without having to close the lid of the toilet and the bed was amazingly comfortable with nice quality sheets and a good mattress.  There was a framed, full length mirror in the room which was spotlessly clean.

Breakfast was served in a lovely room with lots of windows.  There was a nice variety to choose from, but my favorite part of breakfast was the BIG cup of really hot cafe con leche.  The quality to price ratio was off the charts! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Outstanding!!!

One of the best bed and breakfasts we’ve ever stayed in. The house is beautiful, set in a small village in the hills just few minutes’ walk from a lovely small beach. It is so tranquil yet just 30 minutes’ drive from Santander airport. The ladies running the place were great – although they didn’t speak a word of English, we were able to work out everything. As a nice touch we were given the choice of a room with sea view or a room with mountain view. Our room was very good size, all nicely clean, tastefully decorated in a traditional Spanish style, and with lots of storage space. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom with strong shower was good.  Continental breakfast consisted of toast and cheese and ham and salami, lots of fruit and different types of cakes every day. Not bad for 40 Euros per room per night off-season. I hope we will be able to go back soon.

What a lovely place

Lovely little country house, breakfast was nice, rooms are clean and decorated nicely, staff very friendly parking outside, just 3 minutes drive from Santillana Del Mar. Pretty gardens, I’m sure it would be great in summer.
