Wonderful location. Right on river on one side and exceptionally quiet road on other.  Short walk  town centre. And so really quiet. Helpful friendly owners . Spotlessly clean. Car parking if required. Less than 4 minutes to join Camino

Great place to stay

There is a choice of room location within this hotel: the rear which gives directly on to the River Burbia - divine sounds of river all night.  Great views of wooded hills on other side of river.   The other side of the hotel gives out on to very quiet, little used, residential street.  Spotlessly clean; good sized room; comfortable bed; good quality bed linen; great bathroom; helpful staff. 

Great location, 4 or 5 minutes from the lovely Alameda Garden/square; 3 minutes from river beach! and from official Camino route; 6 minutes or so to El Padrino restaurant and to the wonderful Casa Mendez restaurant.

Great Value, too.  Would definitely recommend.

Super hotel in very quiet, residential area minutes from town centre

A pleasant evening. I especially enjoyed having my room look right out on the river. Staff were very accommodating. Location is a short walk to center of town. Really could not have asked for anything more.

Great location, clean modern property

Lovely setting, great hosts, big very clean room (with a large bathroom with lots of high pressure hot water). Good continental breakfast. Short walk to the center of town. What more could you want for 49E. Very nice place to stay. We had a riverfront room and in May the river noise was quite loud so if that would bother you, ask for a room streetside. There is no traffic so it would be quieter. What a 'complaint' to have: the natural noise of the river was loud! All good.

A 3 star for a 2 star price

Very happy with my one night stay. It appears that the interior of the hotel had a major remodel several years ago. I think all the stone work is marble or granite. Big queen size bed and good size bathroom. Nice river views. Paid 36 euros for a single. Villafranca is one of the prettiest towns on the camino. If I were to come back, I would consider staying here again. Minor criticism: Breakfast is not served until 7:30 AM ,and most pilgrims are long gone by that hour.

The room was big and newly remodeled

We stopped here overnight,  so can't talk about the breakfast,  which is served at 7:30, after we had planned to leave. The ensuite bedrooms were clean and fresh, with the ones facing the river having a great view. The staff were friendly and helpful.  

Good pilgrim stop

Hostal Burbia is easy walking distance from town centre and the Camino.  It is basic, but clean, comfortable and quiet.  Check in went smoothly.  The price is good for the accommodations provided.  While we did not have a view of the river, it is right next to the river.

Nice basic hostal

This is a simple room and bathroom.   Located right on the river, if you are lucky or ask for it, it is worth it for the sound of the river and the view.  Even without the river view a great value.  Somewhat hard to find so call or use Google maps.  Friendly staff too.
