Our stay was for 3 nights at this hotel. Although the weather was not in our favor, the staff at Ella Nature View made our stay memorable. Kelum including the rest at the hotel were very helpful, humble and always with a smile.
Booked in for deluxe rooms for our family and they were quite spacious and clean. All rooms are with the mountain view, so you can't go wrong with the view. 
Breakfast was quite good with minimal options. But they still tasted good. Their ala carte menu also had some good options for dinner and reasonably priced.

Exceptional Service 

A stunning view! The mountains, waterfall, wildlife! We loved watching the birds, monkeys, squirrels and mongoose around the guesthouse. The balcony was ideal to sit back, admire the view and enjoy the quiet. It is a bit of a walk from the main town, but easy enough down a few flights of stairs and along the train tracks, and definitely worth it for the view. On arrival with your bags you can get a tuk tuk for 300 LKR from town. The room was spacious, and had everything we needed. We had no AC, but a fan, but there was no need up in the mountains. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Nimal, who helped us with our plans for our stay, drawing us maps and ensuring we were heading in the right direction. Breakfast was great, in the restaurant up top, with the unbeatable view in the background!

Our only comment would be that with our room below the main restaurant it was a little noisy early in the morning and during the afternoon with the team moving tables around. It didn't matter too much to us as we were up early and out for exploring most days, but may be worth checking your room location if you are keen for a lie in!

View and service

Stayed here for 4 nights, The view was most impressive from our room of little Adam's peak and Ella gap.   We could see the train pass by.  Beautiful bkfst offered.  Kind staff.  Tuk tuk to city centre 5 mins  300 LKR
Rooms were nice w good bathroom and shower.
Impressed with the management team as our flight got cancelled, so they didn't charge us for the night we didn't stay.

AMAZING VIEWS

Not sure how we lucked out but we were placed in the new building that had just been finished a month ago. Breathtaking views, beautiful and modern rooms, a shower that was to die for, sweeping balcony. Great service overall.  Our favourite stay in Sri Lanka to date.  Our room was def way nicer than the other photos listed on other reviews.

Amazing stay in new building

The views from Nature view rooms are truly exceptional, almost unreal. This is what this hotel is about. The rooms are nice but needs updating - especially the bathroom fittings. The breakfast is good - especially the omelettes. We did our laundry and it was a very professional service and reasonable as well! Overall a good stay.

Unbelievable views

From this hotel you have fantastic views of the mountains and a water fall. You can easily reach the track to Ella Rock from here. The standard of the rooms are quite simple but clean and comfortable. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.

Fantastic views and good service

It was a great experience at Ella Nature View.. We booked the deluxe family room and it was spacious and clean. My 3 kids were able to run around and have fun..Waking upto the sound of waterfall and amazing view was so heavenly and peaceful.

Their breakfast menu was very tasty though the options are less. But their services are great from the receptionist to everyone. 

The location is just a 3 minute ride from the railway station and they were packed us early breakfast to catch the train..

The deluxe room was easy to climb down but not easy to climb up especially with a 1 yr old kid we had to carry. 

Dinner was the same every night maybe they could have more alacarte options.

Great Room with a View!!

We loved this place.  We booked a deluxe room which is in their new building, just a bit lower than the original.  The room is large, clean and simple - exactly what you’d expect for the price. The staff have been so accommodating to the point the on duty manager lent us money from his wallet as the tuk tuk driver didn’t have change.  

We felt as though we had a private butler with the back of house outside our door and ready to provide us any service.

Yes, the hotel is down a side dirt road, but this is part of the exploration of Ella.  To get the amazing views you need to be off the beaten track.  The hotel provided tuk tuk to get us to and from the main road and all the way into town (at the standard rate).

Breakfast is a small but sufficient buffet with an amazing view.

Great value!  If you’re prepared to pay for a deluxe room ask for room 115 - best position and size. 

Great Value and Staff

The view from the hotel (the balcony and the restaurant) is absolutely breathtaking, overlooking a mountain, with lots of wildlife around. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Rooms are basic but comfortable. Breakfast was really good, with a good selection. Decent WiFi. 

The hotel really helpfully arranged transport for us on two occasions (a tuk-tuk tour of Ravanna cave and falls and a taxi to Tissa) but please be aware to confirm the details and the price with the drivers before you go. The tuk-tuk driver (who was very unfriendly) dropped us back in town (in the rain) instead of the hotel, which meant an additional cost to us, and the taxi driver demanded more money when we begun the journey. 

Would recommend this place based on the stunning views and helpful staff.

Basic but breathtaking views

The view from our room was picturesque. Great view of the hills and Ella Gap. The hotel had a nice breakfast in the morning on the deck.

The pictures are a bit misleading in regards to what you get for your room. The rooms are dated and need to be spruced up pretty badly. Our room had a broken door lock to the balcony and was missing lightbulbs. Simple things like this make a difference in comfort during your stay.
