Overall, I had a great experience, staff was incredibly helpful, and the FOOD of the was AMAZING had a wonderful stay <3  
The hotel room was clean, nice and spacious. 
Breakfast offered with a wide variety of food. 
The location is just perfect for a walk around the city centre.

Paradise on Earth Bentota

Amazing rooms, the host is wonderful! 500m to the beach.. the food was great, don't ever miss that! We were there for a week and totally satisfied! We will definitely return! Clean, large room! Kudos to the host!

Easy, friendly, close to beach

There are limited budget options for accommodation in Bentota, so White Villa is a great choice. The price was very reasonable for a large clean room with own bathroom. We took the fan option rather than the air conditioning, which was enough during the night, however it rained a lot whilst we were there so it was quite humid during the day - air conditioning may have been appreciated at that time! 

The family was lovely, very friendly and helpful. 

White Villa is walking distance to the beach and restaurants, although we found Bentota itself to be a little pricey for average food.

The shower at White Villa is cold water only and the breakfast consisted of tea, fruit, bread and jam and a fried egg. The kitchen facilities mean that you are able to prepare your own meals too.

For a budget conscious traveller, I would recommend White Villa.

Easy access to the beach

We made a hotel reservation to stay over the 1st of October and made payments through a credit card. When We contacted the property to inform the arrival time, they said there are no such reservations and they asked for USD 25 if we would take the same room as a fresh booking. Furthermore, the property owner got quite rude and loud over the phone and insisted  that they are looking for foreign travellers only. 
I had reserved this place through one of the most reputed travel websites even though I had so many cheaper options!  

We had already been traveling and this was an extension of a stay and we had to make alternate arrangements! Very unhappy.  how the owner behaved was demeaning.

Was not able to check in even after the full payment was made! They wanted another full payment to check in!

The hotelier was not a good person ,     Rooms were not that good . every thing except the house lady was bad . They were willing to charge extra even for wifi . We checked in 4 hours ahead and they charged us almost double though we left much earlier . Hotel was close to beach that was the only plus point 

Bad Experience

We were 7 people and stayed in White Villa for 10 days. We thought to have the whole apartment (as specified in the notice), but at arrive we found out that my friends (two adults with three children) were accommodated in a room with only two beds (one single and one double bed) and a cradle (!). Linen and towels were not changed in ten days and it was not possible to use the washing machine because it was not there (even if specified in the notice). The fridge didn't function for all the first week. The shower was placed in the middle of the bathroom, without stall or tray, so you can imagine what happened when you had a shower! Finally, the host forgot to collect us at the airport at 4.30 am!
