I spent 2 days at Hotel Chenra with my family and it was a great experience. Great food and facilities with nice and friendly staff. All the facilities were very well maintained and it was one of the best place I have stayed in Katharagama so far.  

Excellent place to stay with family in Katharagama

Stayed here for 1 night and it was the absolute best! The staff was super friendly including chef Priyantha. The atmosphere was great. The rooms and the premises needed more attention as we understand the Covid and cutting down on staff had a relationship here. So mind that issue during these hard times. The food was amazing. Typical Kataragama style meals as you may like it. 
The hotel is just in the center of Kataragama making it easy to travel to many religious places. Try out this hotel. You will want to stay here again :)

Best around Kataragama!

Wonderful stay at Hotel Chenra Kataragama. We had  an excellent experience with friendly helpful staff from the check in to check out. Rooms were clean and spacious. The food was outstanding with a good choice. The service was attentive and friendly. Loved the beautiful location. Looking forward for the next visit.

I spend last night at this hotel and it was pretty impressive. Facilities are perfect and the supporting staff are excellent. I enjoyed the experience throughly and will recommend this place anyone who wants go.

Best place to stay in Kataragama

We got a small villa and the stay was awesome, facilities were up to the mark and the pool was soo relaxing and chilling with the hot weather its was really good, 2 days with 2 of my friends I had a nice experience, heard that the management has changed so all the past problems have been rectified.

Best stay at katharagama

We stayed at the 2 bedroom chalet. I have been to Kataragama many times , but this has been the best accommodation we had. Extremely satisfied with every thing. Staff was so so friendly. Always there to help. They always help my father to move with his wheelchair. Even they took my dad arond the garden. Food was so delicious. They even served it to our room as they identify it is hard for my dad come to restaurant. I should thank to all the staff. Special thanks to chathura ( help us big time ), Suren ( Manager ) , Manju , Madumal , chaminds ( chef ) and Desgani ( receptionist) . I highly recommend this place and when i come back , i will definitely come back here in the future. Thank you again.

Best Place in Kataragama 

I chose Chenra hotel mainly due to the fact that it is located few minutes away from Kirivehera, which was the main reason why I traveled to Katharagama.

But I must tell you I was blown away with the lovely staff and the services they provided during my stay. Not only it’s located at a very convenient place, but also they’ll provide you the best of services for a very affordable price. 

The dinner buffet and the breakfast was so delicious and staff was very attentive. 
Overall had a great time at Chenra and will definitely recommend and return in future.

Wonderful place with wonderful staff.

Very friendly hotel with good food en good wifi. The people who work here are very kind. We got a upgrade and had a bungalow for ourself. They don’t sell alcoholic beverages. IT is a geweest km the tempels Which are impressive.

Nice hotel

We family with 5 people stayed at the cottage on 5/8/2022.
Cottage was spacious and and cleaned. Bathrooms were not well maintained.one bathroom had No Hot water.other bathroom hot water shower hose broken. I changed it by myself.I was really surprised when they said that they are not giving Bed Tea, even though its a 3 star hotel.Price was 12000 as they said initially. But when they checking out they charged 10% service charge. So beware of hidden charges
