We stayed here for a few nights - two families with adult teenage children. Our friendly and helpful host provided amazing breakfasts every morning - more than we could eat and also helped organise tuk tuks for a couple of our day trips.
The location is great - yes there is a bit of a steep road to walk up from the main road - 150m at most - but the views you get from the balcony are very much worth it. 
Decent facilities and rooms were comfortable and clean and had everything we needed.

Great location nearby all restaurants and main road and Ella sights, friendly staff giving all info needed, warm welcome, great breakfast, clean & nice rooms.

All you need for a perfect stay! 

Beautiful place

Stayed here for 3 nights with a friend. We had a basic twin room which was very clean and perfect for our stay in Ella. Hotel is up a very very steep hill which cars struggle to get to the top of so wouldn’t recommend for those that have any struggle with walking. Staff all very friendly, hotel manager made us feel very welcome, gave helpful advice for things to do in Ella and gave us a detailed map on how to climb to the top of Ella rock. Breakfast was different everyday and very nice. All in all brilliant value for money!

Great value for money and beautiful views!

We stayed here one night and found everything to be the great. The owner arranged a tuc tuc to take us to the bridge and Adams peak as soon as we arrived which helped us make the most of our one evening here. The room was sparkling clean, with fast internet. The breakfast was great too. All in all we had a wonderful experience here and wish we had one more night. 

Perfect place to stay 

We had a very comfortable, spacious room with fabulous views both from our balcony and from where we ate breakfast each morning.  
Good bathroom with lots of hot water. 
The staff were very helpful and friendly, especially the manager who was extremely good. Each morning after breakfast, he would recommend places that he thought we would like to see and then arranged the transport to get us there. He also arranged a taxi to take us  to our next destination & this also included stops at some very interesting places on the way. 
They did quite a lot of washing for us, which was extremely helpful.  
We had asked when we arrived as to whether they cooked evening meals at all so we arranged that they would cook for us on our last evening - the food was absolutely delicious and the vegetable curries and dishes were all quite different from what we had eaten in most restaurants. Highly recommended.
The town of Ella is surrounded by hills - indeed you are in Hill Country so the only negative thing about the hotel is that you have to walk up an extremely steep hill to get to the hotel, which was very hard work with a suitcase! But then many of the hotels around Ella involve walking up a hill to reach them - especially if you want to enjoy a good view from your room.

Fabulous view

Hosts were very helpful and kindly took our cases to the Main Street in the hotel Tuk Tuk at 4:45am for a taxi pick up. Although the rooms are on the more  basic side , they are clean and comfortable with a nice balcony and telly in the room. The room we stayed in was freshly painted and looked to be recently decorated. Internet was fast, and shower had plenty of hot water and good water pressure. A comfortable stay for 3 nights.

Clean and comfortable stay with great views

Spacious room with large windows opening onto a large shared balcony area, view over ella to ella rock. Excellent hot shower, quiet night sleep. Only 5 min walk from the central strip but up a steep hill, bring a torch.

very basic rooms, like a youth hostel in Ireland from the 70's. However very clean, breakfast lovely with wonderful views and very nice hosts. Cash only and up a very steep hill from Ella also v hard to find, it is down the tight alley next to Chill

Backpackers only!

This lodging is at the top of an incredibly steep hill.  Our car could only go to the bottom of the hill - at least the staff do come and bring your cases up.  I was very glad we were only staying one night.  The room was fine and had a huge balcony made of scrappy wood with no safety railings.  So dangerous for children beware.
The staff were really lovely and made us a nice breakfast.  The location is good as we did eat in Chill cafe which was fun.
But if you are not in your 20s and like a little comfort do not stay here.
