Staying at the hotel was an absolute delight! The view was breathtaking, offering a serene panorama that included iconic landmarks like Ella Rock and Ravana Pool Club etc. It was like having the best of the area right at my fingertips. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Special thanks to the front office lady whose assistance made traveling a breeze, ensuring I could explore the area with ease. The hotel's facilities were top-notch, enhancing the overall experience and making it a memorable stay. I can't wait to return and relive the wonderful moments at this incredible hotel.

Enchanting Views and Exceptional Hospitality of my stay in Green Hill Ella

Beautiful spot for breakfast and relaxing with views in Ella. It is about a 10 minute walk from the center of town and 15 minutes to the train station. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff was also very helpful. Sonny always made sure I had everything I needed and Kavindu even helped me when I had leech bites from my hike! Would recommend for a beautiful place to stay.

Beautiful views and a wonderful stay

An indescribably beautiful view from one of the highest mountains in Ella. Very nice team with a special breakfast high up in the mountains. The team also organizes great excursions such as a visit to the tea plantations without any problems. We can highly recommend it.

Incredible view in Ella

The room i stayed was very well maintained, clean, comfortable bed, great toilet and a balcony with the most amazing view. 

The hotel can be a real fun and more enjoyable place if you come with your friends. They got a nice living area space to enjoy. 

The manager (Sunny) was very helpful. Even opened the restaurant at the hotel 2 hours before actually breakfast time early in the morning because of my departure. 🙏🏼

Overall, one of the best place you can be. Without breaking your bank. Nice, affordable and worth your money. 🙏🏼



Best view you can get at Ella, Exceptional 😍

Green Hill was definitely the best view in all of Ella. The owner is so lovely and friendly too. I adored having breakfast whilst watching the sun come up over little adam's peak. That said, if you're a female solo traveler, this isn't the place to stay unless you're willing to get tuk tuks to and from the centre of Ella at night. Walking up to this location at night was a bit scary!

Your service and hospitality was excellent 

We visited as a group of 6 adults and 2 kids over new year. The rooms at Green Hill were amazing, we had a deluxe double and superior triple and they were huge rooms with big beds, sofas and amazing views over Ella rock, with hot water and very clean. We also had one of the more budget double rooms with an amazing view which was lovely. The rooms were great, but the trip was really made by the friendly staff with special mention to Sunny and Podi. They were so helpful as well as being great with the kids, giving them treats and playing with them-the kids loved them! We had excellent Sri Lankan and continental breakfasts. The bar and restaurant had the best views, and they hosted a NYE bbq for us which was the BEST fun. They easily arranged taxis and tuk tuks when needed, it was also walkable with the kids straight into Ella which has some great bars and restaurants and easy to access little Adams peak from there. Would highly recommend staying here, we didn’t want to leave and we will be back next time we come to Ella-thank you for a great stay! 

Absolutely lovely!

Wonderful hotel in the mountains of Ella. Great rooms, fantastic breakfast terrace with fantastic views of mountains and valleys with super nice staff. A real feel-good place. Only a few minutes walk to the village. Very quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of the town. We would love to come back anytime.

We had an awesome stay in Ella- views were unbeatable. Staff was friendly and super helpful. Breakfast was above average. Our favorite place we stayed in Sri Lanka! This is a great jumping off point to explore the hiking trails.

Amazing view and staff

I had a lovely two night stay here. The breakfast with a breathtaking view was simply amazing. Personal doing their best to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. At night you I lay hear the beautiful sounds of the surrounding nature. I was happy!
