The Mount Pleasant Bungalow is a well worthy choice in the middle of Bandarawela city which is 1min from the main road. Justin made us feel like home with the outstanding service as the representative with all the services and his kitchen colleagues prepared a mouth watering homemade Dinner and Breakfast. 

Heartfelt thanks to Justin and the team, and the management for keeping standards & the unending class hospitality.

Unexpected Outstanding Service 😃

Mount Pleasant is a lovely bungalow situated in the middle of the bustling little city of Bandarawela. I found the rooms very spacious and clean. Also, the beds were very comfortable. The shower was great as the pressure was good and the hot water very welcome (as it got quite chilly in the evenings and mornings in Bandarawela). Additionally, the garden is very cosy! It was lovely to sit outside and have tea there.

Mount Pleasant is also close to city centre, which was convenient as it only took us 5-10 min by foot to get the bus station to visit both Ella and Haputale. 

What made our stay even more wonderful was the amazing staff! They were very helpful, friendly and professional and made our stay very enjoyable! The food was also great!

 I would really recommend Mount Pleasant; we truly enjoyed our stay there thoroughly!

A very pleasant and peaceful stay!

We had a wonderful stay here! The staff was amazing and took great care of us! This is a great location if you’re planning to spend some time in the green tea paradise and it’s only a short trip to Haputale. 

Gorgeous cottage with perfect location 

I happened to come across this place when I was looking for a place to stay in Bandarawela. From the time I have started coordination about our stay the staff was very supportive and helpful and I was quite impressed before I steeped in to the bungalow.Good job Alex and Roshan. You guys have done a simply awesome job and I haven't seen such a hospitality anywhere.The rooms are very spacious and clean.Food was yummy.I would like to suggest to add room heaters to be used in cold seasons like December.I am sure the heaters are not needed at the other times of the year as it is not very cold in Bandarawela. Thanks a lot for arranging the room heating on our request. We would return for sure.

Awesome place to stay!

Stayed here 2 days.  It is more a bungalow rather than a hotel.  We were the only guests at the time.  The room was spacious and very comfortable. Bathroom was also spacious and clean. Kettle and tea/coffee was provided in the room.  Wifi was intermittent in the room.  The whole place was really clean and well maintained.  We had all our meals here  and the staff were most helpful and went out of their way to prepare whatever we wished to eat. Staff can talk some english, but not very fluent.   The garden was also charming and it was lovely sitting outside of an evening with a cool drink. I believe it also provides meals to casual visitors who do not live in the premises - similar to a cafe.  The house is walking distance to the city centre and supermarket. Would stay here again if I was in the region.

Comfortable stay

We stayed two nights in this lovely place and we enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with all necessary facilities such as a TV with good reception, electric kettle, mosquito repellent etc. The caretaker Justin was friendly and obliging and served the meals according to our requirements. 
The only negative aspect is the lack of water on the taps. We had to request to have the pressure pump on whenever we wanted to have a shower or a wash, which was annoying. We do hope that this is a temporary issue and hope that this matter will be attanded to to make it a real gem of a hotel in Bandarawela.

This can be a gem of a place with a few modifications!

A lovely homely bungalow in the middle of the bustling city of Bandarawela, Mount Pleasant, is as pleasant as its name! A lovely place for a family to get away, it may be a little uncomfortable if you are sharing the bungalow with strangers. The rooms are around the dining room so if there's a large noisy crowd it can be disturbing.

Our room was lovely and clean, as was the bathroom with hot water. The room has tea/coffee making facilities as well.

The living room is very comfortable to sit around and chat or read a book.

The staff is very accommodating even though there was no one around when we arrived! The food was good but I would advise sticking to Sri Lankan food as we got pork chops that were over done and rather chewy. They did make us some yummy sandwiches for lunch though!
