My wife and I are currently settling into a second residence in Härnösand, busily purchasing furnishings and dealing with the normal ups and downs  to be anticipated in such an overseas undertaking.  We have been through this before, and it is always a lot work and a lot of fun.  Having the wonderful nine day opportunity to relax in a most charming and colorful quiet inn, run by Cecilia (the owner), full of excellent information, discretion a friendliness was an added bonus.  Our little dog was well behaved. -. must have been the infectious vibes. -. and we enjoyed every day of our room's comforts and the excellent breakfasts to be had.  Don't let this villa pass you by!

Settling in with courteous help

A charming family hotel in a historic house which makes you feel at
home. Our room was small, but cozy rooms. It was arranged with taste
and elegance. The bathroom had everything necessary: shampoo,
conditioner and a hair-dryier. Of particular note is an upstairs
dining room. The breakfast was like in the most prestegious homes
(juts that it was not served by waiters): several kinds of milk and
yoghurt (inkl. laktosefri), musli and fresh fruits, bread, cheese,
pate, boild eggs. Since we arrived on the Midsummer eve in the fridge
we found several jats of herring and fresh strawberries. We were very
pleased with such thoughful attention to the details of the hosts.
Definetely the best hotel in Härnösand.

A pearl of Härnösand

Very nice location near downtown shopping and restaurants. Convenient parking spots all around building. Free and fast wifi, free breakfast with lots of options open all day. One or two rooms downstairs, most are upstairs, there is a tiny balcony off the dining room for summer. The room is small but contains a fridge, water heating electrical pot, table and chairs, comfy bed with views. Shower only, Pleasant and helpful staff sings while cleaning the kitchen! We had a problem with booking dot com when we found out that they did not pass the payment along to Sedin, but the receptionist and us were able to work out the issue on the phone with booking, with Booking refunding the money we paid to Booking immediately. I would suggest booking directly with Sedin as they collect the payment at check in.

After reading the other reviews of places to stay in Harnosand we settled on this B&B.  While we usually prefer to stay in hotels the other properties in this city received som bad reviews.

We were met by a very friendly receptionist who showed us to our room.  The room had all we needed.  Comfortable bed, bathroom including everything needed including hairdryer, etc.  (This B&B even has free Wi-Fi!).  There is a nice breakfast and social room next to the guest rooms.  The breakfast buffet was amazing......everything you would expect at a better hotel.  All of this for the equivalent of $90 a night for two people.  Best bet in Harnosand!

Best choice in Harnosand

A lovely old house with spacious rooms.Interior tasteful, nice furniture.Each room has its own style.Partly self catering.Access to kitchen and nice dining room.Very centrally located.Highly recommended.

Wonderful B&B with warm atmosphere

This charming old building is located in the center of the lovely historic part of town, just across from the cathedral.  It's basically a quiet neighborhood, but within earshot there were some annoying roars from early-morning trucks or construction engines.  Also, there's a park along the nearby river where outdoor concerts and amusement parks are occasionally rigged up--if that bothers you, be sure to check event calendars before booking.  There are quite a few nice shops and restaurants within walking distance.  There is some free parking for guests, but I don't know if there are as many parking spots as there are rooms; in any case there's a parking garage nearby as well.  Our room was spacious and comfortable, with two large windows overlooking a tree and some rooftops, but the bathroom was a bit cramped.  Breakfast is adequate but self-service, which can be a challenge when it comes to coffee, eggs, etc.  The reception is unmanned after 6 p.m.  If you're lucky, as we were, you can eat breakfast on the sunny front balcony--only room for two guests there.  In the hallway there is a helpful bulletin board and table with tourist information brochures.

Charming and convenient

Nice room, personal touch, great beds! Short distanse to the center of the town with restaurants and shops. Close to the cathedral.good breakfast and Nice view. A little short of space for the CAR, and to hardboiled eggs. Detailes that do nothing for the Hole experience. Thanks for the stay!
