We just attended a wedding at this stunning location. We stayed two nights in a cabin next to the main hotel. It was really lovely and cozy. No TV in the room but we didn’t mind that. It got a bit too warm during the day so the room was hot when going to sleep, but a fan is available to use it the room. No AC thought. All other facilities were up to standard. We came with our puppy and he even got his own bowl and bed. The staff were incredibly welcoming, kind and professional. The food was amazing!! Beautiful surroundings with access to a lake where you can swim or canoe. There’s even a sandy beach further down the shore. Highly recommend!

On my second visit to Rimforsa Strand, I was as impressed as I was during my first experience. Even with high expectations, the food did not disappoint.

Nestled at the end of the grand hotel building, the restaurant provides a fine-dining experience that is increasingly rare in Sweden. The atmosphere is relaxed, yet refined, offering comfort and elegance with that indescribable touch of finesse. As a guest, you feel seen without feeling overwhelmed, and after one meal, there's a sense of being a longtime regular. A service culture resonates within these walls.

Rimforsa Strand's dedication to using local produce shines without exaggeration. While the menu appears classically Swedish, each dish is thoughtfully composed to highlight the textures and flavors of the ingredients. The presentation is always imaginative and pleasing to the eye, but it's clear that the arrangement is crafted to elevate the harmony of tastes.

Our group enjoyed various combinations from the menu, including steak tartare, a classic skagen, Arctic char, and beef, all of which were praised. The desserts, though modestly described on the menu, became a delightful topic of conversation, thanks to their innovative flavors and presentation. Be sure to order as many different options as your party can manage.

A Swedish Culinary Gem

We went here for lunch with friends. I had made reservation for a table outside on the terrace in the shade which was super nice. Amazing food. Very good salad buffee and the main course was soooooooooo good. Highly recommended.

Excellent lunch at a wonderful place with beautiful views

Located just by a lake we took the opportunity to swim in the lake. There is also a sauna to use at the lake.

Loved this place so much! I was there for a conference, otherwise would probably never have explored the beautiful region or found this hotel. The setting is spectacular, great rooms, friendly staff, fantastic B&B-like atmosphere where you can use the kitchen for coffee or a glass of wine, fantastic breakfast and also good lunch/dinner. You can use the sauna, go rowing on the lake, jog along the the shore. Only problem, it's not really a tourist destination but very happy with my visit.

Beautiful and welcoming

Stunning surroundings, a chunk of history in combination with excellent food and service makes it a very nice experience. Laid back atmosphere and no tv in the rooms makes this family owned historic place a true personal getaway.

Very personal & friendly weekend hotel

The place itself is lovely, the sleeping arrangements good. But the food, oh the food. I was here during a retreat and the lunchbuffet was mediocre at best, some dishes too salty. Then came the dinner, and it was awful. I have no other words for it, the food was so incredibly salty, I couldn't eat it! I was so disappointed by the food. Enough to make me take off 3 stars. I still get that salty taste in my mouth when I think about it. 
Would not recommend.
