Very good sleep, fantastic bathroom and heavenly homemade breakfast made my stay here one of the best overnights far away from home ever. The rich morning offer of homemade jams plus the care of the owner reminded my childhood holiday weeks at my grandmothers house.

Heavenly homemade breakfast

Just a short walk up from town, this spotlessly clean, bright, and cheery B&B was a perfect base for our three days in Zweisimmen. Our room was large and very nicely furnished. One of us likes to sleep two or three hours longer than the other, and the lounge adjoining our room, complete with wood burning stove, was great for reading during those early morning hours. The breakfast was a treat, with a variety of cheeses, homemade jams, and other delicacies. There was a well equipped kitchen area which we could have used to prepare meals, but didn't.

Magrit, the owner, spoke excellent English and was  attentive to our needs and a source of great recommendations for local restaurants, sightseeing attractions, and anything else one might inquire about. Magrit's gracious hospitality made a good experience into a great experience.

Affordable and charming

Stayed here for one night in December 2016. This house is easy to find if you have a good map and know the address. About a 7-8 minute walk uphill from the station. The owner, Margrit, is a charming lady and speaks several languages, including English, French and German. She showed us to our room, which was very clean and tidy. We were the only ones staying in the B&B on the day, but she mentioned someone else was coming the next day - there are two or three rooms in this B&B. The bathroom is shared between these, and was exceptionally clean (the floor was a bit squeaky). Breakfast was enormous, and Margrit served a dozen (!!!) of different home-made jams, which were fantastic, as were the breads and the cheeses. She was very helpful with advice and thanks to her we managed to visit Stockhorn in the (very) limited time we had before our Golden Pass Panoramic ride to Montreux. Definitely recommend this place to anyone who wishes to learn more about Switzerland and Swiss life and culture.

Comfortable stay in Zweisimmen for Golden Pass Panoramic

We booked a room in this B&B on short notice, and just for one night. It's located in an old chalet-style house with a wonderfully enchanting garden and really exceptional friendship by the hostess Margrit. They have a holiday flat which can be self-serviced and/or two separate guest rooms with own bathroom facilities. We had the 'garden' room with its own entry, but with breakfast in the family dining room. It's not a high-flyer accommodation, but it's one of the most lovingly furnished, decorated and equipped b&b rooms we ever had. The room is having a bright window on the garden and although it's entered via the basement, feels light enough. Two single beds side to side, good bedding, a very complete tea/coffee assortment, a wash basin with hairdryer & enough storage space for a longer stay, a bunch of fresh flowers on the writing desk, all in a simple, mountain- and house-conform style, a private bathroom across the bedroom, totally our own, spick and span, all the products you could want for are available, everything is so clean you could believe it was just newly installed.... The breakfast was 1st class, with a choice of everything you could think of and best of all: An assortment of typical Swiss cheeses dreams are made of. The 'tenants' of the appartment had b&b as well and they were served products they are used to from their culture (fresh vegetables etc). We were spoilt and would absolutely love to have stayed longer. Hopefully we'll return one day. A huge thank-you to Margrit and Urs :)
