Top food, extremely clean and organized, friendly staff and affordable prices! We had a great meal and very enjoyable lunch... recommend and would easily return. Located in the middle of a wonderful hiking teach, close de Riederalp. 

Excelent

The Hotel Riederfurka is about 25 minutes on foot from Riederalp, beautifully set on the ridge with a fabulous view. 

The service is excellent, with very friendly and charming staff. There are two restaurant options - the traditional "Arvenstube" or the modern restaurant. Usually I am for the old style, but here the choice was easy for the modern one. A nice big room with big windows, so you can also enjoy the setting when inside, with a design skillfully mixing Alpine styles and modern design. Very nice and creative alpine food, though at the upper end of the price range. I was very happy with my dumplings on cole slaw.

The rooms are simple but nice and quiet, with a shared shower, and more than appropriate for the price. The breakfast is excellent and they don't rush you.

There is also a great terrace with sofas and deckchairs, and you just don't want to leave anymore.

Finally, the hotel is owned by Art Furrer, who is quite a well known character in Switzerland as he was the ski instructor for the Kennedys, and he stopped by every table to have a chat.

What a charming place!

A rustic place on top of Riederalp. Very good food in the alpine-chic restaurant. Particularly nice staff. Basic rooms in the old fashion Swiss style (no ensuite bath) but a washbasin in the room and very clean showers.

ON TOP

Walking to this 150 year old guesthouse from the lifts was in itself an experience.  The beds were comfortable, particularly because of the sumptuous feather duvets and pillows.  The walk across the creaking floorboards and down the stairs to the loo and shower was a detraction, although the facilities were spotless.  A great montain breakfast.  This location is fantastic - in the morning, we could see the Matterhorn and so many other Swiss, French and Italian Alps, together with that amazing glacier. Come here to remember what a beautiful world we live in.

An Historic Mountain Hotel

Fabulous! Stayed there with 4 others family member. The room is okay but clean. There is no private bath because its a mountain guesthouse. But bathroom is very clean. The clean lady did a good job. Coffee is always good there after long hike! 

The house is very quiet, it was like a retreat.

Breakfast included was also delicious. Swiss cheese, ham, schinken, jam! Yummy!
Internet is very fast, i am very impressed. 

You have to wake up 6am to enjoy the clear clouds view. Its breathtaking. 
The food price is expensive but its good.
