A convenient location close to Grande Plaza.  Our twin bedded room on the first floor was a comfortable size for two, handbasin in the room, and shower and toilet across the hall.  Doubled glazed windows with shutters  overlooked a lane which was in the process of being cobbled, the lane led directly down to the Grande Plaza shopping and restaurants.  Walls were white, fresh painted, clean, colourful bedding made the room look bright and pleasant. Pillows were a little hard for our personal taste, feather doona was warm and fluffy. Breakfast was a small additional cost, fresh, adequate with cereals, cheeses, salami, croissants and breads, jams, coffee and tea if preferred.  Room was spotlessly clean as were the shared shower and toilet.  The shower recess was small, which we found to be normal in many Swiss and Italian accommodation. Owner was pleasant. The couple with which we travelled were also satisfied with their room on a floor located higher up.

A simple, clean pension, well priced for expensive Locarno

We stayed there for 1 night on new years. We were 7 people. The rooms were ok and clean. The price is a little bit high for what you get, but hey, it is switzerland after all. The owner was super friendly and took care of all our needs. I will definitely consider this hostel if i ever visit locarno again!

Very friendly owner and superb location!

Quite a good location, around 600 meters from Train station.  The room was clean as well as the bathroom but the toilet are so very small.  The duvet is super comfortable with a thick down.  The owner is really generous.  After all it's worth the money.

Worth the money

For 142 chf (2 people, 1 night) we got:
- A small room under the roof with three separate beds(all three different models)
- surface of the room which allowed standing upright approx. 4 sqm
- 1 tiny velux style window
- 1 regular window with closed blinds (unable to open them)
- terry cloth (frottee) bed sheets
- unattractively coloured 80ies style duvet covers
- shabby and dated, partially unfunctional furniture (the bed-lamps bulb was broken but the concierge offered a replacement bulb upon asking)
- shared bathroom with 3 lavabos, 2 showers and 2 WCs down the hall
- colorful but very amateurlike and unproperly executed paintjob throughout the whole building
- concierge that could only speak italian (not his actual mothertoung though, i think)
- simple breakfast
- very bad/sad coffee

All in all: not recommendable for the price! Avoid if possible.
