This is a wonderful little hotel/hostel. Situated in the main square, above BlaBla restaurant (which seems to be the most popular place in town). Our room was huge with a lovely little balcony, overlooking the square and lake. Five rooms on our floor, sharing one female and one male bathroom, worked out well, with us not bumping into anyone else. The carpet was a bit worn, but we were impressed with the room for the price.

Basic room, good value, right in the middle of the main square and overlooking the lake: perfect!

Good option for a one night stay, a quick visit in Vevey.
Awesome location, big, clean rooms. We even had a lake view from our room! Very friendly man at the reception. Nice benefit - transportation ticket for the area nearby and some discounts for local attractions.
Minus -  loud music and noise from restaurant/bar below, also in the night. 

Good for a short visit

Very friendly and clean place in the heart of the beautiful Vevey with just a few minutes walk to the lake.
While staying there, dont miss pizzas at Bla Bla Cafe Restaurant.
I just stayed there for 2 nights but looking forward to getting back there within a few months.

We stayed here one night as we were going to the Fête des Vignerons. It was wonderfully situated for this although a little noisy but that was to be expected!
The room was huge, very basic but clean and the beds comfortable.
My only criticism would be that the showers & toilets are not separate for ladies and gents which is a little off putting and morning ablutions were a little smelly!
All in all a good experience.

Very central 

Got room 150, very spacious, high ceilings, all to myself. Showers and toilets are common ground but are very clean, maybe coz of the off-season. The noise from the restaurant/bar below is there until apprx midnight but having been to really noisy cities this is nothing in comparison. Couldn't help but notice the squeakiness of floors, gives you this feeling of 'night in a museum' kinda thing. Overall, a very good value for money. And ohh, don't forget to bring your own blanket and pillows....   kidding, a shampoo/shower gel would do.

Ok for a couple of nights but wouldn’t stay too long. The showers and toilets are all shared by the floors and they don’t serve breakfast. The room is nice and the hotel is in a good location so is fine for a few nights, as I said. Nice staff and has a good elevator.

Good for Weekened

Normally, people are quite friendly but I had to wait 30 min for the receptionist to come in the morning & he just wanted to count the money. I stood & waited & when he bothered to look at me he said NO.
All I wanted to do was to see a room before I commit to staying for a week. Idiot.
The pastry chef was lovely, so polite & very pretty too.

Not so friendly

Stayed there for one night, room 140 on 1st floor. Renovated, but still very very tight - you can barely squeeze by the beds to get to the window... Bathroom across the hallway, shared with other guests. Unfortunately someone had used it and left it a mess. I was recommended to take this room as it was “very quiet” - alas, it was not. Right above the bar, and I could hear the thumping of the music until midnight. Called to complain but no one answered. also, the room was not cleaned well - dust on top of the bed frame, and trash behind the night stand. Bed was comfortable. Great location though, right on the lake, and unbeatable price for Switzerland...

Price very good, but you have to make compromises

The “chambre de confort” that definitely wasn’t!   

The website doesn’t make it really obvious that in 2019, this town centre Swiss hotel is not en-suite and the WC’s are in a block of 4 with the unisex (yet still private) showers in a block of 4 next door along the corridor.  So if you occasionally need the toilet in the middle of the night or don’t want to have to get dressed and undressed again before going for a shower then choose a different hotel and remember to stop drinking earlier in the evening!!!!

The rooms are spacious but spartan, no TV, no sink, no tea/coffee-making facilities, twin beds (in my case), two chairs and that’s it.  The lack of TV is probably quite a good thing as the walls (sorry thin double doors) between my room and my neighbour’s did precious little to dampen the noise of loud snoring coming through!!!  And I am partially deaf so I assure you it is LOUD!

Continuing the lack of facilities theme, there is no facility for breakfast in this hotel... even though the restaurant bar seems quite lively in the evening.  

Be prepared that should you decide to brush your teeth in the shower, (remembering to bring your own soap and shampoo because none is provided) then you only have a limited time during which you must repeatedly press the water-saving shower shut-off before you are plunged into darkness as the motion sensor activated lights switch themselves off!

Completing the grand tour of this less than overwhelming hotel is the view of the scaffolding temporary stadium for Les Vignerons festival that fills your vista!!!

It perhaps should be one star but the manager at reception is a good sort and as a lesson in practical Sustainability - saving water, saving electricity, paring things back to a bare minimum - the hotel still kind of works!!!
