Very nice place to stay, the owner is very helpful (helped us with Taroko booking, booked us a taxi the next day with 30% off). The place is a bit far from Hualien center and the transportation is quite bad but Elysees house lends free bikes. By bike, it is very easy to move in the city.
I would definitely recomend ! 

Great place

 Great place to relax after a long day tour coz of the good location which is quite and away from busy traffic. We stay here for  2 nights which accommodate nicely for 8 person as the house has 4 big rooms with attached bathroom. The house is really clean, comfortable and provided with strong wifi. Kitchen is big enough if you prefer to prepare your own meal but of coz breakfast is provided and prepared by the friendly young house owner. The sitting room is good place for discussion as it can accommodate up to 10 person easily.

Great accommodation 

Elyse is a cool host, she always make it to the point that every guest will feel at home.
I also like the accommodation there. I cannot ask for more.!  They have an available bicycle for every guest so you are free to stroll around ! I recommend this guesthouse  to everyone!

Longing for comfort?, find Elysees House

First of all I have to say that Elyse is really the best host! :) The communication with her was smooth, she helped us with every single thing we could need. She gave us perfect instructions what was the best way how to get from the airport in Taipei to Hualien, which SIMcard is best for the signal at her place and she waited for us at the train station. We absolutely love staying at her place. She took us for few very nice trips, showed us some cool local restaurants, dessert shops and much more. When I was busy because of the work, Elyse and her friend took my girlfriend for a trip and they spent together amazing day.. it was absolutely lovely of her :) We had there many nice evenings when we just tasted some Taiwanese specialities and talked. Elyse is the most friendly young girl, we met through our big Asia trip! You can be sure that she will always help you and as she travels a lot, she knows what people on holiday may need. I appreciated how everything was perfectly organized e.g. in the lobby you can find actual info about buses, tips for trips, tourist guides.. They just do their best for guests. The room looks exactly as at the pics. It´s also great that there are bikes for free, so you can get to the centre in few mins. We would definitely come again :)

Elyse is the best

Friendly and cordial reception. Very clean. Rooms are beautifully decorated with appropriate and interesting themes. Is most suitable for countryside lovers. Bicycles are provided for those who love to bicycle around the farms.

Typical Taiwan Homestay

While it looks very average on the outside, the interior of Elysees House is very cozy, clean and nicely renovated. The host was also very friendly and told us about places that we can visit around hualien. Wifi is one of the fastest I have experienced in any accommodation, and breakfast was pretty good too.

The only downside of this place is its remote location - it is actually not located within Hualien but in the neighbouring county of Ji An. If you're taking a train there, consider taking it to Ji An train station instead of Hualien train station! The house itself is also quite deep within a residential area and there's almost nothing that you'll be able to reach by foot. They do provide bicycles if you want to explore around or head to the neighbourhood shops. Taxi rides from Elysees house to the city areas of hualien will cost about 180 to 230 NTD.

Overall despite the location, the price is good and Elysees House is definitely a lovely place to stay!
