Clean and simple with nice breakfast served in the courtyard.  The owner also owns the nearby Timur Otel, so if no one is at the Marina Pansiyon when you arrive, pop into the Timur and you will be taken care of.  The Mosque is right across the way, so bring good earplugs if you don't want the 4 a.m. wake-up call!

Fantastic views from room balconies of this simple pension

Traveling on the Gençlik ve Spor Bayramı weekend meant all hotels in Amasra were booked up, and we narrowly managed to find a room at the Marina Pansiyon, a family-run place built along the old castle walls. Amasra is not big, everything was a short walk away including the museum near the bus station and Kemere Bridge. 

For 200 TL a night however, our tiny double room felt overpriced. The bathroom was a closet. Our heads kept bumping into the low slanted ceiling (and I am not tall). The wifi password didn't work at all, and there was no concierge to help us out. Breakfast was a basic Turkish spread with some bundt cake thrown in.  Only our room's balcony overlooking the lovely harbor (Buyuk Liman) and the town mosque made up for an overall average experience that was Marina Pansiyon.
