Over all good , courtesy of frond desk, clean and comfortable. Location is very close to highway, good for stopover night. Food is excellent, rooms and quite comfortable. I would like to stay again on my next trip.

Convenient location

Grand Cinar is a large hotel, but grand in no other way. The pictures show a night time light show but the outside now has a structure which looks like it is stabilising the concrete. The inside seems tired too.
First the positive. The receptionist was welcoming and helpful in both Turkish and English.  The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Shower worked well with plenty of hot water.
Many small things let the hotel down. There was hole in the bathroom wall and the toilet roll holder was broken. The towels were fraying and the bedding looked like the sort my gran was using in the 1970's. Water was provided but only 2 small cartons. Tea but no coffee and the kettle's automatic switch off was broken so it did not switch off when boiling. No fridge and no air conditioning. Window does open, but there is no bug net and noise carries from the surrounding residential towers. Noise also carries between the rooms.
Grand Cinar is easily accessed from the nearby main Izmir to Ankara road and the road into central Kutahya which is about 3km away. There are regular buses into the centre with a bus stop about 100m from the hotel.
The evening meal did not look appetising and there was no one in the dining room on my 2 attempts to find out what the food was and the cost. I ate in a nearby cafe, of which there are a few within an easy 400 km walk. 
Breakfast was of usual Turkish style. Salad and olives wee plated and covered in film then bread, jams, eggs and sausage in buffet style. The scrambled egg was excellent. Breakfast was served in a large underground dining room.
Grand Cinar was disappointing and not good value. It was available on international booking sites, so was easy to book. In retrospect sending an email to a smaller hotel would probably have been a better option.

We've stayed here on our journey home for one night. Close to the highway and for a quite good price (although the official prices were much higher, but I guess we got last minute discount).
The room was quite alright, the beds comfortable, everything inside the room clean, water boiler available (for us a kind of must ;) ). Breakfast Turkish style, could be more variation and some stuff more fresh. What I really missed was any kind of coffee, not even nescafe available...
All in all a reasonable choice for a stay over, but not luxurious.

Reasonably priced

We stayed at this hotel last year on our way to Antalya,for one night.The first thing I noticed is a weird smell,probably because the hotel is old and some renovations are necessary.
The rooms have basic furniture,air conditioning(which you must ask the receptionist to turn on),refrigerator and free Wi-Fi.
The receptionist doesn't speak English so is very hard to communicate.
A big advantage for this hotel is the parking which is very big.The hotel has a good location so it's easy to find.
I would recommend this hotel only if you are travelling and need a place to sleep for  one night maximum.

Could be much better

... starting from the pot plants, some fake, some real, all covered in a layer of dust.
The rooms cleanliness too could be a lot better, water leaks could be fixed, as well as the shower hinges, .. one good note: beds are very comfortable.
Breakfast offers a wide variety of local foods, but no cereals, milk, fruit/juice or decent coffee: disappointing.
If you are not used to smoke, you will not like the scent coming from carpets and walls that would very much benefit from a good cleaning.
Location wise it may be ideal for travellers, but it's not too close to the city centre.

So many small things could be improved ...

Pros of Grand çinar:

- The hotel is placed near the highway so it can be convinient for the travellers who stop for 1 night.

- Breakfast and diner were quite good: numerous variations of traditional turkish dishes. A lot of fresh fruits and vegetables are always presented.

- Wi-Fi - so so. 70% of time it was functional.

- The hotel staff is very polite, friendly and gentle.

Cons of Grand çinar:
- The hotel staff barely speaks English. Luckily you can connect to WiFi and download translator application. 

- The room numbers are old and really need renovations.

- As far as smoking in numbers is allowed, you can feel the bad smell in room. Also in some of the rooms the air humidity is very high so you can smell it, and that is very bad for health.

- Only liquid soap is available in bathroom.

Summary: Bad hotel 5/10

(+): Very cheap, relatively good location, huge breakfast

(-): MANY
No one speaks English (despite what they say in the website). Not even basic English and we've had trouble communicating with the receptionist.
They even declined to print-out my boarding pass (2-pages document) and they directed me to the nearest internet cafe
Their huge breakfast bufe had 8 different kinds of cheese, but NO milk and NO juice
The walls between the rooms were so thin that I could hear my neighbour snorring (and how could you complain to the reception if they don't speak English?) - ear-plugs are a must.
They had a weird and unacceptable policy of accepting married couples only to stay in the same room. Welcome to Anatolia.....
The curtains were so small that I couldn' cover the entire window, and because my room was facing east, I woke up at 05:30 because of the sun in my room.
