We stay here for 3 nights at the terrace, it was our best part of the vacation. Owner, Ismail, who was very friendly helped us way more than we would expect from staff/owner.

Great breakfast everyday, friendly faces that help to find the best tours for you. Hotel is brand new about 10 months old.

Now they are building wine tap that would give you organic wine whenever you open it. This is a great for wine drinkers.

I cant wait to come back here try the tap wine and see the friendly faces again.

Great, small, authentic, friendly place for a quick trip!

We selected the 2 room apartment, unusual, exciting and glorious cave feel. Fully equipped bathroom with spa bath. Good products in the bathroom and tea and coffee on tap. Roof top terrace to enjoy the view and a delicious breakfast with fresh breads, fruits, eggs, cheeses, olives and extras. The hosts Janice and Ishmael are warm friendly and very attentive. They also walked us to the local Hammam, the bus stop and arranged our transfers to and from the airport. Our balloon ride was booked by them and was a once in a lifetime experience. You can safely put yourselves in their hands and just relax and revel in all things Turkish. My only regret was that I did not stay longer.

Thanks so much to owners Janice and Ismayel who bring this lovely place alive with their great attention to detail and genuine care for their guests enjoyment. We were sad to leave after a (way too short) two day stay. Rooms are impeccable and the breakfast of delicious, fresh in-house baked goods, endless supply of tea and coffee on the rooftop terrace with a lovely view and great interesting conversation, onward travel suggestions and advice from the extremely personable and helpful otel owners made for such a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Not to mention the big jacuzzi tub in the cave bathroom where we lit a candle and relaxed our mountain biking muscles at the end of the day :)

A cave home away from home!!

In short, it is one of the best hotel you can find in Urgup. We think that Alexander Cave House is the best choice. The place of the hotel was very good, it was just 5 minutes away on foot from the city center. Throughout our 5 day stay there, we had the chance to taste delicious breakfasts, handmade cookies and cakes of Janice each and every morning. We strongly recommend you to taste lemon-cake. The owners of the hotel, Ismail and Janice, are lovely people because they care about their customers. The rooms are big enough for a comfortable holiday. At the end of your tiring but beautiful trips around Cappadocia, the bathtub is the best way to relax.

Real garbage disaster

We had 3 nights reservation and have paid 1 night in advance before coming to hotel. The other 2 nights, owner, İsmail Bey, asked to be paid when we just arrived in the hotel even before seeing the rooms. We were surprised since this is not the normal way but we did pay. Then we saw the rooms and did not like, no fresh air, smelling(especially hermidity), very dark. We had double rooms with lobby. There were only 2 small windows and one can’t be opened since there was no protection for insects. So, we could not have fresh air. The rooms were cold, when we entered they turned on heating. Then we told İsmail Bey kindly that the hotel is not our style and we would not like to stay but he refused to pay 3 nights fee back and said only 2 nights he could pay back. And we said then we will stay only 1 night since we have paid for it but he directly refused and told us that it’s the reservation fee, and he will not return it back. After then he made us a favour(!) and let us stay 1 night for which we have already paid.. At the moment they learned that we would stay only 1 night and not 3 nights, they directly turned off heating and night was cold w/o heating. At night we asked for 1 bottle of water since there was none in the rooms but we were told that there is no water in the hotel.. At 23:30 at night we ourselves found a market and bough a bottle of water. These behaviours summarize our 1 night stay in the hotel and style of owner. Like a joke but unfortunately it’s true.. I do not want to mention the poor standards of the breakfast in a hotel where water does not exist..
