Incredibly good value stay on a cycling trip. Paid £52 for a double room about two weeks before we travelled, which included breakfast for us both. Hotel grounds are lovely, staff are really friendly and helped to store our bikes somewhere safe. Room was clean and had tea/coffee facilities, a hairdryer, comfy beds and nice clean towels. Soap dispensers at the sink and in the shower were great as we travelled light. Breakfast was lovely, self-serve full English with non-dairy butter sachets and a selection of plant milks, which I was nicely surprised by. Would recommend getting there early for full availability of things like hash browns, though. 

Whilst I agree to an extent with other reviews that a bit of weed pulling could tart the place up a bit, I think it’s still fantastic value for money. My Mum lives in Freshwater but at £52 I’d probably still stay here for a night to be able to enjoy Sandown until late.

The bed are comfortable nice  pillows room was very up to date clean and tidy stayed for 3 nights the staff are very friendly and helpful  slept like a baby for the price its a bargain very close to Sandown a short walk to the town and beach also free car parking

What is wrong with people? 
Now I am not a hotel inspector, I dont don a pair of white gloves and check around picture frames or on top of wardrobes, why the hell would anyone?
My Wife and I fancied a short break on the IOW, we have stayed in many hotels on the island over the years, (there are literally thousands!), and I have to say we liked the look of this one, we looked at both Premier inns in the same area, (you cant really go wrong with a Premier, you know what you get in all of them), but something about this place really drew us in, we read the reviews, which are mostly terrible, but I have to say, in our experience, you really cant rely on the accuracy of most of them.
We paid £150 for three nights, got an email a few days before we went saying we had been upgraded to a family room.
There is ample free parking, the room was on the first floor of the original building, which has lovely old wood panels everywhere, it was perfectly clean and very spacious, with a lovely view of the beautiful grounds. The wifi worked perfectly. We paid an extra £60 when we arrived, for breakfast each day, it was incredibly quiet at night. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, the Staff were very polite and helpful, we could not fault the place and will definitely be returning.

Don't believe all you read!

You need a car to use this hotel as it is away from the usual tourist area . The hotel is good it is quiet and lovely gardens and courtyard to relax in on a sunny day . Our room 335 was good ,basic ,clean . however I feel that lack of staff in the dining room that was full each night lets the hotel down . We waited almost an hour on our first night for the first course and long gap each night . You order the day before for the evening meal .On the Tuesday I ordered steak pie what was on my plate was a steak and mushroom pudding . As i have an intolerance to fungi that meal as wasted . Our waitress was most apologetic but at no time as requested did anyone from the kitchen come out and explain why the error  orders . I have made it known to the general manager that it could have made me very ill . So that is a point against this lovely hotel . I have to use a walking aid and the car park is on a slope that is hard to get down to where our coach was parked but there are disabled car parking bays very close to the ramp into the hotel.

Quiet location

Firstly a lot of negative reviews but this is a reasonably priced 3 star hotel and looking at past reviews the hotel has obviously made efforts to address concerns. The main building and grounds are lovely and well kept. Our room initially the bath and shower didn’t not work but we were moved immediately and the room was a nice size, the bed was comfortable and clean. The bath was heaven the water fast flowing and hot. There was nice views of garden and trees out of the window. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Beware  there is a supplementary charge  of £1 per night to park in their car park of which a lot of people complaining. Why not just add to the price of the room to avoid negativity? We met an elderly gent in the corridor who warned us that the cooked breakfast was inedible that there was no choice of eggs only scrambled but that was apparently off-smelling and off-tasting We thought god people like to moan but when we sat down and had our first breakfast he was spot on. The bacon was hard and all stuck together. The cold food which consisted of various cereals, croissants, pastries, fruit and yogurt and toast was lovely. People have complained a lot in past reviews about the cooked breakfast so this really needs addressing as a matter of urgency. Would I stay here again yes definitely for the price we paid I still think it was a great bargain. 

Nice hotel let down by their cooked food 

We enjoyed our stay in the Broadway Park. For the price, and the fact they got a coachful of us in at the last minute due to the Shankin Beach cancelling our rooms with very short notice, they did a good job. Breakfasts were enjoyable, dinners were more hit and miss, and the room cleaners were poor, but overall it was an enjoyable stay. Staff were polite and friendly, and the Rose Garden and grounds are excellent, as is the leafy location. The price was extremely good, and far better value than the overpriced dump I stayed in in Hurghada earlier this year. I'd happily return should we go back to the Isle of Wight. 

Good Value

We spent 4 nights at the Broadway Park Hotel, bed breakfast and evening meal. Please don't believe all that is written, I didnt go round with a magnifying glass like some seem to have, but I found it to be a period building, yes in need of a bit of repair, but our room was clean and spacious, bed was comfortable and was cleaned each day by very friendly cleaners. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly and helpful. Want to give a shout out to the young guys & girls serving in the restaurant they did a great job, really polite and helped when asked. The breakfast every morning was lovely, cereal, fresh fruit. yoghurt, cooked breakfast. And as soon as the items were depleted they were replaced.   Plenty of options for dinner in the evening, and we were able to have a choice each meal that was acceptable to us. The portions were large, freshly cooked, and delicious. So well done to the chef for catering for large groups of customers, really enjoyed all the meals we had. Bar staff were jolly and engaging. I think people need to understand that all hotels have had a hard time after covid, getting staff, keeping facilities running, but we would definitely visit again.

A hotel with character

This was a magnificent house in its hay day, which sadly has fallen into decline. However, this is reflected in the charges for the rooms, which are quite reasonable. We chose it as it was conveniently located for us and dog friendly. It’s also only a 10 minute walk to the seafront. We had a standard room and thoughtfully placed on the ground floor, which gave us easy access to the garden for our four legged companion. Our room was clean and spacious, with similar fixtures and fittings to a Travel Lodge room. It also had a French door, which opened fully (one side) for great ventilation and had a safety grill as it was raised above the ground level. We opted for breakfast included, which was buffet style help yourself. There was a choice of cereals, fruit salad, croissants and toast together with a cooked breakfast of scrambled egg, tomato's, sausage, bacon and baked beans. So a good choice and as much as you wanted. Dogs aren’t allowed in the dining room, but we were allowed to use the adjacent ballroom, which has easy access to the dining area. We didn’t have any evening meals, so can’t comment on them. Highly recommend Flanagans pub near the pier- had dinner there and it was very good and reasonably priced. Dog friendly too. 

The garden areas had some nice table and chairs and the grass was cut short and there’s a large field area ideal for exercising a dog. It looked neat enough, but not much in the way of flower beds. There is a large car park, but it fills very quickly, given the number of rooms. There were no spaces when we arrived but staff were helpful in directing us to where we could leave our car. The staff in the dining area were all very helpful and friendly. Only one chap on the reception desk was less than welcoming. Guess there’s always one!

So all in all, if you’re on a budget and not looking for 5 star luxury, then this is a good choice.

2 night short stay.

Food ok eggs to watery dinner ok too far from beaches and anywhere by bus has too walk up a hill and down it no good if not got a car  and if have no car and have walking stick bus should go near nice rooms and nice shower too hot in nites even though turn heating down snooker table great darts tables darts broke no swimming pool 

Abit too far from buses and too walk 

Not the fault of the hotel, but I ended my first attempt to drive to the hotel in a rural cul-de-sac probably in view of the hotel.  By inputting the postcode I got the to the hotel, parking was almost full but I got parked eventually.

I arrived at Reception which was unstaffed and took 10 minutes before somebody walked by and asked if was being seen to.  The provision of a ket was quick.

The hotel is tired, and looks like it is due for some investment.  The gardens looked lovely.

The room was a surprise, it was spacious and quite modern, albeit hot, but with a window open it soon cooled (Reception said there would be a fan in the room, there was no fan).

A good night sleep was had.

I had not paid for breakfast (Google suggested £10, but also suggested £17 for the evening meal which I was told by Reception was £25).  Upon checkout, Reception was unstaffed again, so I walked to the Dining Room where a staff member did not know the cost of a breakfast but would take my room details and I could be billed later, I declined and left.

Overall, the room was very nice and worth the price, the customer care was lacking as  the hotel seemed under staffed and this resulted in my probably missing breakfast.
