The hosts were fantastic, friendly,  helpful, and full of local knowledge. 
Breakfast was cooked to order and extremely tasty.
Room was very clean with high quality products. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. 
Free reserved parking was very close.

Very warm and friendly welcome from our hosts. The location was ideal, our hosts provided plenty of advice where to go.
The room was very calm and tidy. It had all the facilities, including tea & coffee. Last but not least, breakfast was amazing! 
A wonderful experience I highly recommend!

A wonderful stay in Ambleside

I generally do not write a review unless something is extraordinarily good or extremely bad. It didn't surprise me that when I logged in to review this Inn that they already had a 5 star rating. It was an extraordinarily good experience. 

My friend and I booked a 6 day walking tour with a group where our luggage was carried from town to town and we hiked. We are so grateful that the first two nights of our journey began at Brantfell House with Aide and Mandy as it could not have been more perfect. They are the most gracious hosts I've ever stayed with in any type of lodging situation. Their meticulous attention to detail and to ensuring that their guests are thoroughly cared for is a welcome salve for someone who travels a lot and has missed such genuine interest and care. The room itself was like a warm blanket and the service was a 15 on a scale of 1-10. Yes, it truly was that good. If I'm ever fortunate enough to return to Ambleside, I would eagerly book here again. Thank you so much, Aide and Mandy, for your warmth, kindness, humor and genuine hospitality.

Extraordinary stay at Brantfel House

Great location, excellent facilities, wonderful breakfasts with an extremely varied choice and all cooked to order.
Our hosts Adie & Mandy were lovely making us feel really welcome and their knowledge of the area is second to none.
We will definitely be staying here again when we next visit the Lakes!

Best B&B in Ambleside

We've just returned from a fabulous break at the Brantfell House B & B. Adie & Mandy are fantastic hosts and really help guests get the best out of the local area with suggestions on great places to eat & places of interest to visit. The breakfasts are delicious with lots of choice available. This was our third visit to this lovely B & B and it will not be our last!

Fabulous stay at The Brantfell

Returned for a 2 night stay after visiting last year, Mandy and Aidy are  very warm and friendly hosts and nothing is too much trouble.. The breakfast each morning was delicious and well presented and plenty of it.. The location is ideal for the centre of Ambleside and some lovely local pubs nearby… Would highly recommend .. Thanks for a great stay. We will be back next year.. Alison & Craig..

Wonderful return visit

I cannot thank the hosts enough, Aidy and Mandy have been truly amazing! My son & his partner had booked a 2 night stay here, but their car broke down around 3pm, repeatedly, en route on Friday 10th. They eventually got towed there, with police help, after midnight. Aidy and Mandy waited up for them, and gave them an upgraded room at no extra cost. We drove over unannounced on Saturday, and they also put us up for the next 2 nights, as their car couldn't be fixed until today (Monday). They looked after us all magnificently and were just so helpful and friendly. To top it all off, the b&b was of the highest standard, super clean, warm, comfortable, beautifully decorated and the breakfasts were delicious. They absolutely rescued what was a disaster and turned it into a great weekend. Huge thanks again to you both, and we will definitely be back. X

Superstars!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this comfortable, well decorated B&B.  Stayed here for one night during a walking holiday.  The bedroom was well furnished and had everything you could need.  The hosts were very friendly and kindly put our wet boots in their drier as well as carrying the cases up to our rooms.  The breakfast was ordered the evening before and was excellent.  Thank you.
