We booked to stay in a family room at the funky towers hotel. First impressions when we walked in was lovely and homely, we checked in our family room with a view, wow and what a stunning view we had, the room was huge and spacious the kids loved the bunk bed and our double was nice and comfortable the bed linen was super clean and smelled beautiful. The room itself was very clean and fresh, the bathroom was very clean all towels provided were clean, soft and smelled gorgeous. We decided to go down to the bar as the had a pool table, fruit machine and a wonderful touch a big box of toys for the kids to play with, the served all kinds  non alcoholic and alcoholic drink, crisps and snacks and a huge tv and comfy sofas. The Bar and sitting area had a huge window with breath taking views of the sea and up and down the promenade, I could of sat there all day just watching the day go by. We all had a fab nigts sleep, breakfast the next morning was just as we hopped lots of choice for the children (my children are fussy) the ate cereal which the enjoyed helping themselves to and the also both had a very tasty full English breakfast cooked to perfection and we all ate the lot. Fresh juices and water on tap. Stunning breakfast, helpful kind staff very clean breakfast area. Best family hotel We have ever stayed in. Blackpool it’s self was amazing so much for the kids to do as well as adults. The water park is first class and the beech is gorgeous. 5stars for us and we can’t wait to go back have Re booked for a week next year.

What an amazing long weekend,

I am SO surprised at the last three reviews. We have always had a wonderfull stay there. In fact we enjoy it so much we have booked again for august when apparently their will be new management,we wouldnt stay anywhere else in Blackpool

FANTASTIC ! Just love it

Very clean and comfortable hotel,was worried about previous reviews but no complaints at all.for price paid and location was more than happy with stay.owner/ chap on reception very helpfull and easy check in.

Very pleasant stay

The host was very welcoming and polite. Rooms were abit out dated, but for the price it was value for money. We had a sea view with 4 poster bed, small bathroom, separate shower room which was very clean, And towels were changed daily. We would visit again

Value for money lovely owner

After issues with the original hotel we booked with, we had to leave at 5am. After calling around other hotels in the area, we finally got a room at Funky Towers for 2 nights. They were happy for us to check in at 5am, as other hotels we rung would not let us check in until 2pm which would leave us stranded for 9 hours! So, we were very grateful for Funky Towers. Upon arriving, we were greeted at reception by a lovely gentleman who gave us our key card. On our way out later that morning, there was another nice gentleman on reception. We asked when check out was the next day, and he said there was no rush, whenever suited us. On our last night, we arrived back at the hotel around 11/11:30pm. There was a member of staff at the hotel at all times, who helped us in the front door. We pressed the buzzer and he was down in seconds. We didn’t use the bar/breakfast area, but commented on how nice it looked. We had a twin room, which had 2 great sized single beds. The bedding was clean and great quality. The bathroom was average but clean, my partner had a shower and said it was fine, although the water did occasionally go between hot and cold for a few seconds which we put down to other guests also showering as this was just before dinner time. There were tea & coffee facilities in the room, along with a small TV, a wardrobe and two sets of draws. The curtains were a little sheer so let in some light from the street lights/sunrise, however this didn’t bother us at all and we slept fine. The room decor was a little outdated, but again, all clean and that’s not an issue for us. The walk up to the the centre of Blackpool (near the tower), took us around 15 minutes, it was a nice walk straight up the promenade and was made even better with the illuminations! Lots of bars around the hotel and plenty of taxi’s available to take you further afield. We’re glad our original hotel didn’t work out as we ended up somewhere much nicer for less money! We plan on returning to Blackpool next year, and would definitely stay here again. Thanks again to the gentleman who answered our 5am call and managed to squeeze us in! 

A great place to stay!

This is now the second time we have stayed in this hotel, this time went as a couple.

We stayed in room 14 Seaview 4 poster bed on the 4th floor.

Nothing too much trouble for Kim or Tony, great breakfast, ring the bell to get a drink at the bar.

Room all clean and tidy.

No parking at the hotel but car park only 5 minutes walk away.

Will be back soon.

Great Weekend

Place is okay if your a single man, just wanting a place to rest your head. Bar is expensive (£3 for a CAN of carling not a pint) but if you have a wife or girlfriend, avoid, the guy at the desk tried grooming my girl, took her into the bar to “show her around” then touched her up, sniffing her neck, tried to kiss her shoulder, put his hands on her, and she texted me asking me to come help. Thankfully she got out of there and made normal conversation. Do not accept room 11 as the shower head doesn’t fit the attachment, and it takes a good 15 mins for the hot water to come through. Never again. If there were cameras I’d report the place. Watch out for the Asian guy at the desk! Around 50 years old ISH.

BEWARE

The mattress was plastic ? The Place its self was ok we just needed a bed for the night ! And One night was enough . We was asked to be in for 11 pm !!!  In all my time using Blackpool B&B we have never had a curfew . Would we return ? then i feel the answer is no ... i have to admit the hotel is value for money but just not for us.

Ok for 1 night

Booked a night online for 5 of us a week before our trip. I like to double check that the booking has gone through ok so tried to ring them to confirm. I rang multiple times a day for a week but no one would answer the phone. 
We went anyway, but was a little anxious on arrival. We got there and discovered that you need a key card just to enter the building/reception. We stood on the steps and rang the bell over and over and over again for 20 minutes, no one would let us in. We were about to admit defeat and find alternative accommodation (concerned about our money as going by previous reviews they don’t refund under any circumstances), thankfully other guests then turned up with a key and let us in. The first thing we noticed upon entering was a terrible smell, like old food/mould. 
We rang the reception bell and had to wait another 5 minutes before a very stressed and annoyed looking man appeared (understaffed?) and gave us our room key. The room was pretty clean(ish) but had the same horrible smell, the bathroom stank and had hairs on the toilet seat. My children were very excited at booking the room with the shower with the lights and radio, they were crestfallen to find it very grubby and old. 
I will say the room was extremely spacious, the view was amazing. The double bed was comfortable enough, though the two bunk beds were horrendous. The mattresses were so lumpy my children had to sleep on top of the duvets (and they’re usually happy to sleep on a floor!), also they were unbelievably creaky, my partner and I were woken up constantly all through the night due to the noise from the bunk beds every time one of our children moved slightly. 
We did have a drink in the bar in the evening. The cocktails were amazing, we also appreciated the toy box they have in there for children as we had a toddler with us, it was a thoughtful touch. 
We had breakfast the next morning. The dining room was one of the most depressing I’ve ever seen. Saying that the full English’s was absolutely delicious, though we were a little put off by the grubby chef that brought them out (I see someone else has commented on her hygiene). 

I’m a little on the fence at what star to leave. Going by previous reviews it was fabulous a couple years ago, but it’s grown tired and neglected and needs a deep clean. We did have a good time at the hotel and the food and drinks were lovely. But the unprofessionalism with communication, letting us in, smell, poor sleep and false advertising in that the rooms looked nothing like the pictures online I think 2 is fair.
