The hosts Chris & Liz were very pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable of the surrounding area.
The breakfast menu has a good choice and was always cooked to perfection.
Our room Castlerigg was lovely and spacious overlooking the brook.
Would definitely return.

Excellent Guest House

We have just returned home from 3 wonderful days at Rocklea bed n breakfast , from the minute we arrived to leaving nothing was to much trouble for the hosts Liz n Chris , we had a fantastic room with a really big bed , a large t.v , sofa , 2 chairs and a table , the bathroom was a great size and we looked onto the beck and gardens, the breakfast was 5 star all freshly cooked and really tasty, it was a gem of a find situated between Bowerness and the town of Windermere just of the main rd so very quiet , great pub across the way serving really good food , we will definitely return Thankyou Chris n Liz .

Birthday break

Really lovely stay here, hosts were really good offering useful information for days out. Breakfast was really tasty and plenty of choices, room was really comfortable and on the ground floor it was advertised as a small twin bedded room but the size was ok, i've stayed in a lot smaller. Its nicely situated between windermere and bowness. Angie and dave july 2023

Great weekend away

We had a perfect stay at this guesthouse, the hosts, Chris and Liz couldn’t do enough for us, a mine of information on what to do in the area. Our room was very comfortable, . Nice huge bed and big shower, all spotlessly clean. The breakfast menu was fab.
It was within easy walking distance to good pubs/restaurants all serving good food. I would definitely recommend the Rocklea.

Excellent

The guesthouse is in a perfect location (only a 15-20mins walk from the lake), our room was  clean, comfy and very spacious. Our 3 hosts were wonderful and breakfast was simply out of this world (their Full English option and the pancakes were perfect!). We could not have wished for a better place to stay at and would definitely return. 

Perfect stay and breakfast

Great hosting and stunning front room on first floor. We were treated to a lovely welcome, super breakfasts, super comfortable room, easy location less than 10 mins from town centre, and a very relaxed atmosphere. Thank you so much.

Visit to the Lakeland 100 race

We have had a fabulous stay at this guest house, we had a room with a super king size bed which was really lovely, the hosts were very warm & welcoming and the breakfast delightful, good location & plenty of off road parking.
I would definitely recommend it to my family and friends.

Delightful stay

On arrival Ian was so welcoming offering refreshment and engaging in conversation. The rooms are a good size and very clean. The breakfast was outstanding with a variety of choices cereal,croissants,fruit etc. The full English breakfast was cooked to perfection and very delicious. 3 nights here and would have easily stayed for more . Great location situated in between Bowness (10 minute walk ) and Windermere (5 minute walk ). 
I would highly recommend this Hotel for your perfect visit . Really looking forward to staying here soon .

PERFECT STAY

Ian was an amazing host. He made us feel very welcome from start to finish. He was a delight to deal with and catered for our every need. We would highly recommend coming here. The breakfast was delicious each and every day.

Bedroom was tidy and clean, breakfast is amazing. But most of all was how knowledgeable and helpful the owner was...... We had such a great stay thanks to all the advice given....  we will definitely return.
